Really any long-nose pliers would do, this is just perfect for the job if you happen to have a pair :-) Super glue 1 or 2 small clamps Be careful not to touch any of the capacitor leads, or you may receive an electric shock. Use only ESD-safe pry tools. Do not use metal pry tools or screwdrivers. You might want to wear gloves so as not to get excess super glue on your fingers. VERY WEAK MAGNET, Fraudulent item picture, awful actual strain relief doesn't fit case
Fraudulent listing!!! Not as pictured. Horrible, ugly, less functional strain relief than pictured. Does not, even vaguely, match external look of original Apple strain relief. If you are choosing this for its pictured strain relief DONT BUY THIS.The magnet strength is much too weak, nothing like original, and not as strong as another Chinese knock off 45W PS I just got from amazon. So weak it falls off with the sligthtest cable bump or rub. What I received was super cheap, bad weak magnet, UGLY and wrong fitting strain relief.Again DO NOT BUY ANYTHING from this seller. He's a cheat.

Works like a champ
Exactly as described. Works like a champ! I didn't completely disassemble the power brick. I split it open just enough to pull the retainer/strain relief from the shell and cut the existing wires at the retainer. I then stripped, soldered and heat shrunk the existing wires to the new cable wires.
