CalphalonHard-Anodized Nonstick 6-Piece Cookware Set

I have been replacing old pots/pans/skillets that the coating is peeling off of. 1 set I thought would hold up well (another brand) did not. Glad bought them and adding pieces as needed. Would make a great gift. I till do not recommend using metal utensils except for serving, not for hard stirring, I use my wooden spoons for that!

The media could not be loaded. I've never had a bad experience with a piece of Calphalon cookware, and this 6-piece set did not disappoint either. I own a bit of heavier duty Calphalon (more commercial quality) and love the durability, broad heat distribution and easy to grip handles (that really do stay cool even when the pot or pan is hot). This set is not high-end Calphalon...it's a bit thinner...but I've used it a few times at my daughter's apartment (this was her first set of matching cookware) and it performs exactly as I need it to.The larger 12" pan (ideal for frying) has a glass lid that fits great, but which does not have a steam release hole, which I personally prefer but know that some cooks like to keep all the steam inside, knowing they can partially offset the lid if they want it to vent.The set includes a second lid which fits the one pot. This pot has 2 pour spouts and the glass lid has a deep metal side wall, perforated in two places, allowing you to twist the lid to align the perforations with the pour spouts for pouring. You can also use that same feature to vent the pot with it still in place.All 6 pieces are dishwasher safe, although I normally allow the pan to cool before hand-washing in order to avoid scratches to the finish in the dishwasher. The nonstick coating is effective, but I would not rely on that alone if cooking foods at higher temps for longer periods....a spray of cooking oil will help prevent certain foods from sticking in some situations.All in all, this is a nice set of cookware that will not disappoint. You're paying for the Calphalon quality and you'll be happy that you did. This set doesn't include everything that you might need to cook for a family, but it's a great smaller set for the newly liberated kids in your life or to merely supplement/replace your own hodge podge of cookware.

This cookware is really well-crafted. I've cooked several meals in them, and they perform well every time. I only use silicone kitchen utensils and haven't seen any scratches. Nothing sticks to them, so they're easy to clean by hand.

Low quality Chinese products.Look for American made pots. We have set made in Ohio, after ten years of use, it still looks good.

While these Calphalon pans' heat retention aren't in the same league as cast iron pans, the retention and distribution is impressive for a nonstick pan. I've cooked sticky, messy caramel and other saucy dishes, all of which hasn't impeded the cleaning process. The performance isn't usurped by the functionality implemented in the design. That can sometimes happen when a company is fixated on prioritizing the ease and convenience of a product's design, but neglect the quality and performance.All of the details like the handles, the density of the metal, the finish, the thickness and durability of the glass, are all obviously of a higher quality. These are more costly than your average Teflon and ceramic nonstick pans, but the quality is superior, and in my opinion, worth the investment.I also like how they are light but also heavy. It's an indescribable quality, but perhaps the handles contribute to that observation. The handles are very sturdy and attached well to the pan. And, might I add, in totality, they are attractive. If you hang your pans (there is a slot to hang them on the handle), you will be proud to display them. I found these pans to be a worthy addition to my kitchen equipment, and can finally retire some other pans.

Had these for a few months now and absolutely love what Calphalon has done with their pots and pans over the years. We ended up getting the 10 or 12 piece set as a gift for our wedding and they've done great over the past 8 years. We ran into some issues with the regular pot and regular skillet we used essentially 2-3 times a week over those 8 years and things started sticking to it.Unfortunately, without the original receipt they didn't honor our return, however, we ended up buying these as a replacement and they are truly great pots/pans. I love how lightweight they are now and how the handles still don't get hot during use.Other than the warranty issue (which I would've given these a 5), I have no complaints about this product.

I have always been a fan of Calphalon but it has been several years since I have had any of their cookware. I was not disappointed when I got these. They are great quality. I have been using them for about a month now - they get daily use - and they are perfect . No scratches and no gunky buildup. I do not use cooking sprays anymore in them though just for reference. I found in the past that was the cause of all the buildup even though they were being washed afterwards. Now I use avocado oil or butter. Nothing sticks either.

I don’t know what this cookware set is but is is not Calphalon. I have 3 sets right now one of which is supposed to be the same as this and it’s not even close. Doesn’t even look like Calphalon and every set I have has Calphalon printed on the lids but not this set. There was ZERO paperwork in the box. Just when have you purchased anything that there was zero paperwork. I will be reporting this
