Honestly - Great Product and Great Value!!!
I typically don’t write product reviews, but after receiving these recently purchased sunglasses a few days ago, I decided to spend a few minutes writing a review and share my thoughts.I’ve lived in Florida all my life and my eyes have always been very sensitive to the bright sunshine here. Like a lot of folks, I do love spending time on the water and well know the importance of having a good pair of polarized sunglasses. I consider a good pair of sunglasses to be one that is polarized and has the right amount of tint so as not to impede the clearness or be overly dark or not enough tint to block the glare, and lastly, has readers/bifocals.These Renegades on review are priced at $26.00. They look good, are tinted just dark enough that you don’t have to keep raising them up to take a second look at something a distance away, has a very comfortable nose piece and a lens that comes far enough around your face to block any glare or sun coming in from the side. Lastly, the reader/bifocals are situated in such a way that I never notice any transition from one part of the lens to another. As a comparison and for my own benefit, I took out a pair of my Costas and Maui Jim’s this afternoon and when comparing them to the Renegades, I found that I actually liked the Renegades as much or better than the other two high end sunglasses. The deciding factor was that the high-end sunglasses were a bit to dark and did not have the readers/bifocals which, for me, made a big difference. But the clarity of the Renegade lens can’t be overstated… It’s very clear and clean and the bifocals fit perfectly in the lens. If I had to buy again when comparing to Costas and/or Maui Jims? No brainer... For the money it's Renegade. For $25.99? You can’t go wrong. Give it a try - I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.I hope this helps…

Huge disappointment
I'll leave the original, 5-star review below. I'm reducing the rating to 2 stars because not only are these not scratch-resistand, they scratch THEMSELVES when they're in your pocket. Look at the arms, and how they fold - the end of the arm touches the inside of the opposite lens. And over time (like the couple of months that I've had these) the arm rubs a big, smudgy scratch on the inside of the lens. Now I've got a cloudy spot in my peripheral vision all the time. I paid top dollar for a pair of plastic lenses and all I got was the same crappy quality that you would get from one-dollar glasses. Now the original review, before I realized how soon these would go bad...I've had a few pairs of sunglasses with glass polarized lenses, and those are the ultimate in optical quality, scratch resistance, and ease of cleaning. But they're expensive and prone to breakage. In the world of plastic lenses, these Renegade glasses are very good because the lenses are polycarbonate, with decent scratch resistance. They're polarized, they have a brown tint (which I like), and the bifocal sections are (1) not obvious from the outside and (2) sized and located pretty well, so that they're good for quick looks at something close. I wouldn't want to do a lot of reading with them, though. The frame is good, although the ends of the arms taper inward and can be slightly painful to put on because they rub your forehead skin pretty hard. I've owned lots of sunglasses and these are among the very best when you consider the overall combination of features. {BUT, REMEMBER, THEY'LL TURN TO CRAP AFTER A WHILE]

Excellent product for the price.
I’ve used Renegade bifocal sunglasses for years. They’re great for fishing, enabling me to see beneath the surface as well as more expensive glasses would, but with the added benefit of the bifocals... It makes it easier to tie knots, remove hooks or change lures without having to put on my “readers.”They’re wonderful for driving, removing the glare from the windshield while letting me see the instrument panel clearly as well as check my phone, or see my watch with my aging eyes. I recommend them, for the price, without hesitation. However, a word of caution: Because of the earpiece design, if the glasses are closed tightly, it is possible to scratch the inside of the lenses (a lesson I learned years ago with my first pair of Renegades). So be aware of that slight flaw and compensate accordingly and these glasses should serve anyone well.

Quality not obvious bifocals
These are great for fishing, driving and any outside activities which require good protection from sun glare while needing to do things up close such as seeing your dash controls, tying fishing knots or reading outdoors. The wrap around style is very effective for blocking side glares and UV rays while the polarized lenses make things crystal clear. They will scratch if not handled carefully just like any glasses but these a very cost effective, quality bi-focal. Both of us like the fit and have average size male and female heads. I did not receive any compensation for my honest review.

Polarized bifocals
I love the fit and feel of these sunglasses. They are certainly sturdier than other pairs I've purchased in the past. My only gripe is that the bifocal section is polarized. If you're reading a book in the sun, no problem whatsoever, but if you're looking at a mobile device or gps screen, the polarization and tint makes it very difficult to see your screen without straining, even on full brightness. If these glasses had untinted bifocals, or at minimum, non-polarized bifocals, I would give these shades 5 stars.

Greatest sunglasses ever!
I finally bought some polarized sunglasses with bifocals because this summer, I hesitated to use my real glasses on the boat and near the water in case of accidents. I’m so glad I got these! They are comfortable and trendy looking and the bifocal section is small, unobtrusive and critical to have for when needed. I LOVE THESE!
