Replacement 7V 2A AC/DC Power Supply Replacement Adapter with 2.5mm x 5.5mm Tip, Black

I'm sure it would work well of its intended purpose but I used it for something entirely different. I have a stereo receiver (a ROTEL and actually two Hitachi receivers) with the same problem. At mid to higher volumes the amps pull a good deal of power so much so it causes the dial lights to dim to the bass. Very annoying. I decided to disconnect the dial lights and gave them their own separate power supply and I'm delighted to say it worked. No more Blinky-blinky. Just need to do the same with my two Hitachi's.

Power supply DOA. Because of Amazon no longer allows USPS pickup for returns, I ended up paying for this defective product. As an elderly person who cannot drive to one of the sites where Amazon accepts returns, my choice was paying $40 for a cab or Uber/Lyft or swallowing the cost of the defective item. Amazon will NOT make any exceptions, so if you have mobility problems, you will want to avoid no-name vendors and any other situation where you may need to return merchandise to Amazon.

I bought this for my Grundig radio. And it worked totally great. Thank you.

7.15v measured and the connector fits nicely too. Not much to say about it. The wall adapter is pretty small and the cord is plenty long for what you need.
