Get the right ice tong. These are heavy duty enough to carefully place your 2 inch ice cube into your smoked old fashioned ( do buy the drink smoking kit, it’s worth it). The drink smoker will rest on an ice cube if it is already in the glass, so you can’t really smoke your drink if the ice cube is placed first. If you drop the ice cube in the drink, it splashes, makes a mess, and you lose some of that precious liquid. You need solid ice tongs to carefully place an ice cube or sphere gently into a drink after smoking it. These do the trick. Wimpy tongs will drop your ice, make a mess, and be the opposite of relaxation. Do buy the clear ice cube maker as well

Seem sturdy and of good quality. The stock image is apparently enhanced. The tongs are smaller than portrayed. The jagged edges are what make these ideal for grabbing large ice cubes or spheres, not so much the size or curved shape, as they won’t hug the sphere as pictured.

This is my second set of tongs for my fridge ice ball tray. The first (different brand and style, cheaper and flimsier) developed a bit of rust so had to go. These have been going strong for over a year with no sign of rust. I leave them in the tray so they're constantly wet and frozen. These are just nice, quality tongs.
