The best laptop I've had so far
I'm very impressed with the Asus ProArt 16. I do a lot of computer intensive work including programming advanced systems, using variouse VMs simultaneously, intense 4k video comping, CGI rendering and audio production... And a bit of gaming. It works well with all of that. I got 64GB mem and 2TB storage option. Ive added an extra 2TB storage which is the maximum internal storage. The 4k screen is great, the build quality and performance are great. It's a seriouse laptop for seriouse users. My only complaints are that the Ryzen 9 AI CPU is slightly throttled from its full potential due to power and heat. I haven't really noticed that in day to day use though - the performance exceeds my demanding use so far. The refresh rate and brightness of the screen could ideally be more. However, the ruggedness, size and performance at the price point is spot on. I'm very happy with it.

Great specs and build but beware screen has no anti-reflective coating - Extremely reflective
(64GB 2TB SSD RTX4070 ver)Three stars because of the spec, build quality but returned after 10 days for the following reasons:1 - Either froze, BOD (twice) nearly every time I used it - all of which needed a power off if the m/c hadn't already initiated a restart. All restart problems were when I used GPU intensive Adobe, DXO apps or inking with the pen - I'm inclined to believe that I was unlucky and had a m/c with faulty GPU.2 - I did contact Asus support about the screen - (It's like a mirror) - to see if it was faulty but then it started freezing/ BODs so didn't pursue support with them as would have been "check all updates/BIOS firmware up to date" - which they were.3 - Many users on Reddit reported constant problems with this laptop and with Asus in general but some individuals reported complete reliability.4 - I did consider getting a replacement but for a 2.5k plus laptop the screen is far too reflective for me and at 500 nits isn't enough to work outside. I purchased to replace an ageing mbp 16in but incredibly the screen on the Apple m/c is better than that on the Proart 7606WI. While windows 11 is a decent Os, windows updates are still fragile and you tend to have separate OEM updates and Windows updates.Positives - great build quality, keyboard, quiet, some useful ASUS software for creatives, though tbh Adobe firefly is far better at image generation than whatever gen Ai `MuseTree uses. Trackpads or touchpads as they're know on Windows never seem to work as well as Apple trackpads. It's clear why Apple feel they can demand their inflated prices - while in some ways Windows 11 is a better and far more customisable/ feature rich Os, MacOS is more robust and reliable and basically just works. As soon as you turn on a new Mac and post setup gives you the option to learn all about your new device. With the ASUS there was no hand-holding. You have to dig around the m/c to get to know all the OEM features - far more time consuming.I've used Macs for over 10 years so my experience had to be pretty much seamless to switch and I would have probably kept the ASUS if it was fault free but on reflection I think I would have regretted that decision due to the mirror-like screen.Note, this is my experience with the Proart 7606WI and as I said previously, there are many users on Reddit that are really happy with this laptop!

A masterpiece from Asus
This notebook is fanastic! I think it is THE notebook for creators right now and this version offers the bonus of 64GB RAM and 2Tb SSD. Very happy with quality and performance.

Terrible. Don't waste your time.
I've had two of these and have returned them both. My primary use is for editing Sony 4k 10 bit footage with Premiere Pro.The first one kept dying - going to the blue bios screen. I also had some interesting experiences with Asus customer service. One person actually told me off for not replying to one of their colleagues emails to thank them. Apparently thanking them using my own voice during a conversation wasn't enough. On the rare occasion the laptop did work, it was quick at exporting. The next one I had would take 20-30 seconds to create a new folder anywhere! Just a new, empty folder on the desktop for example. So, not a great start. This machine was noticeably slower and I had to use proxies to edit.It seems that you really take your chances with this machine. Some people seem to get good ones, other people (from reddit comments) have a similar experience to me.All around a pretty terrible experience, luckily I could return it through Amazon. Still, a massive waste of time and definitely not worth the huge price tag.

Brilliant LapTop but I sent it back
Ordered on a Saturday, it arrived late Monday. I booted it up for the first time on Tuesday and spent the morning installing software. Then over the rest of Tuesday and much of Wednesday I explored its features. it is a superb machine - everything that you would expect from the specs and the reviews. The only problem was that the display kept flickering and every so often it would go black for a second or so. From google I found that a few others had experienced this issue but none had solved it so the advice from the chat rooms was to return it. By Wednesday evening I was unsure whether I could live with this feature. On Thursday morning I wrote a one page word document and the display kept flickering - so I decided I had to return it. I phoned Amazon, told them that I wanted to return it and they said fine. So I spent some time on Thursday morning removing my ID from the machine - eventually using the reset feature in Windows 11, and is was collected by UPS mid morning on Thursday.I had agreed to pay in five equal instalments. It took a week to refund me the first instalment and advise me that the remaining four payments had been waived.
