Q: Can I use the slider weights in my stock variator

I also have the stock pulley on my custom 50cc taotao. And I used these weights in the pulley and it works a hell of a lot better. There is a better response when I give it gas.and also I got it to go 15 mph faster. Also try lowing ur scooter.it makes it 60% faster. I kno..I did it. Don't get any other weights heavier than 5g.

Q: so what's the difference of different weight? Higher weight goes faster ?

more speed comes from lighter rollers causing your motor to rev higher. With the motor turning the Variator faster of course your top speed is going to increase.But you can go TOO light and the weights will never squeeze the belt up high enough and in that case you will loose top end.Roller weights will CHANGE your RPMs by 500-600 for every gram up or down. Slider weights will CHANGE your RPMs by 200-350 for every gram up or down.The biggest benefit from lower weights are quicker take off speeds. Top end speed is only marginally improved changing out roller weights.

Q: will these work on a 2017 metropolitan?

Yes. The cvt is the same for the ruckus and the metro
