By all standards inexpensive, this book is only for those of us who really love words and enjoy unravelling the meaning of those over the course of a paragrapgh that only gives an outline allowing us to fill in the detail from context and examples. It is a roman-a-clef version of Word Power Made Easy. Or, misquoting the words of a certain fictional character, it could be called Word Power Made Difficult! Buy it only if you are already comfortable and in love with English in general and languages in particular. If you are beginner, then I would strongly recommend you to look elsewhere. Like another reviewer has mentioned, buy it only if you are an avid reader or if you have chewed through at least one WordPower book thoroughly. A lovely book nevertheless. NB: I have read many reviews about terrible page quality, and that does not seem to be correct. This book is on par with any of the wordpower books that you get.

Good approach for vocabulary building. Author has explained vocabulary learning in the way that really worked for me. Definitely this book is not for beginners.You should first read word power made easy by NORMAN LEWIS. Paper quality is not the best but for this price its better. Amazon is offering it at really good price

Author has solid approach on fringing the words in our mind. helps the development of idea about each new words we go through, a strong vocabulary build is guaranteed

like many other books available here, this has also got the lowest price, lower than many sources from where we buy, the page quality is above average, delivery done in two days. I didn't have to pay charges for delivery because of prime membership, it is worth it. Now about the book, well, I wouldn't say its greatly helpful or mediocre or bad at all. It is highly subjective. You know when you buy your books better. But it is brief and the approach is more like Norman Lewis, only it has got lot many weird words, that, I'm sure, will not serve any displeasure. You cannot get anything better and more informative at this price point though.

One star less for the page quality. Regarding the content, well, if you have spent enough of your life trying to mug up words to embellish your vocabulary, that too, in vain.. now is the time to revamp your way of learning! Being an engineer, logic flows to me naturally, and if building vocab too becomes a logical, structural process, as this book teaches.. life becomes so much easier. PS: This is a bit, mind you a bit, advanced for amateurs. If you have just resolved to start building vocab from the scratch, get your hand on NORMAN LEWIS's 'Word Power made easy' and then you can come back to it later.

'All about words' is the best book to build your vocabulary.words are explained with stories, examples and poems. Read this book after completing Norman Lewis's Word power made easy. most useful in competitive exams like CAT, SNAP, XAT, MH-CET etc

This used to be our favorite when we read up for GRE and GMAT. Immaculate in its content, this is an evergreen book. How I wish there is a kindle version.
