Porch Shield Waterproof Universal Generator Cover 38 x 28 x 30 inch, for Most Generators 5500-15000 Watt, Light Tan…

Struggling to find a storage cover for my Maxpeedingrods MXR 3500s Dual Fuel Generator Inverter until I found this. The Storage Cover 23x13x18 Inch height (of 18”) was theoretically not high enough, but in practice was a perfect fit. This cover includes a nice big pocket to store all the other bits and pieces.

Very nice quality and well made. The gray color is almost a perfect match for that "Porch enamel outside/inside" paint they sell in hardware stores. So if your generator is like mine, chained to a concrete pillar and bolted on my porch, this shield will help it blend with your porch. Mine did not fit exactly as my generator is 27 inches long and the shield is 26. I don't blame the shield. I believe it is a marketing from my generator manufacturer so I will be obliged to buy their proprietary products. But even then the shield fit well enough to cover my generator. It just doesn't close completely. I might sew an extension to cover the gap. Taking about sewing, I am pretty handy with my sewing machine and I was initially thinking of making my own shield. When I checked the material I would have needed, It would have cost me well over $60 just for the material. So this shield is a real saving. Also one other main advantages of this shield is; it is very easy to remove. This is very important for regular start up maintenance. Prior to have that shield, I did made many years ago a wooden box made out of 3/4 inch plywood. It was doing a great job at protecting and hiding the generator, but it was a bear to remove. That box must have weight about 60 pounds and was very unwieldy to handle. The end result is that I neglected my regular startup maintenance. I could go 2 or 3 months between startup maintenance. The end result is my generator was very hard to start. A good thing I have one of the best generator available (H...da). Nevertheless, last winter the power went off and I had a very hard time to get it started. With this shield, It is a breeze to take it off the generator. This way you don't have any excuses for not doing your weekly startup routine. You will be glad you did them when a real emergency will happen in subzero freezing conditions. Die Abdeckung mit einer Länge von 23 Zoll passt für den Notstromgenerator EU22i von Honda. Es bleibt noch etwas Luft, so dass die Abdeckung leicht über den Generator gezogen werden kann. An der Unterseite zieht ein Gummiband die Abdeckung um den Generator. Zusätzlich wird ein Expanderband mit Kunststoffhaken mitgeliefert, das der Länge nach unter dem Generator hindurchgezogen und in Ösen links und rechts eingehängt werden kann. Dies verhindert, dass z. B. Wind die Abdeckung während des Transports vom Generator abziehen kann. Die Abdeckung hat an einer Längsseite eine Tasche zum Verstauen von Kleinteilen und an der Oberseite eine mit Klettverschluss versehene Öffnung, die den schnellen Zugang zum Tragegriff des Generators erlaubt. Zum Tragen des Generators muss die Abdeckung nicht abgenommenen werden.
