Mungo and the Dinosaur Island Paperback – International Edition, 7 Aug. 2008

we love Mungo! Great fun to read to the kids and the pictures are superb so it doesn't matter if they can't read yet. six year old girl and three year old boy both love it. a fantastic book and well worth buying.

my nearly 4 year old quite likes this book. Not bad story line and pictures okay too. Think he will like it for awhile too.

My little boy is almost 3 and this is the best book we have in our extensive collection! It's fast paced and action packed and full of excitement. I always bring on the pirate voices for this book, its easy to get absorbed as the reader and I think I love this book almost as much as my son! It's brilliant.

I work in an infants school, where we used two other Timothy Knapman books as set texts for literacy in Year 2. The children absolutely loved them, and the work related to the texts was brilliant. I also have a son in year 2,and when I ordered those 2 for him,I discovered this one, and bought it as well.The pictures (by Adam Stower) are wonderful,and the text is exciting and multi-modal. Boys are notoriously reluctant readers, but this book encourages them to read without actually realising they are doing it!(Don't worry, girls love it too, and it's a great change from pink princesses!)My son loves this book-like most little boys, he is fascinated by dinosaurs, and would love to have Tyrannosaurus Rex galloping around his bedroom. My only slight problem with this book is that I wish it were just slightly longer!

My son loves all the Mungo books (this is his third)and this one is just behind Mungo and the Pirates as his 'most fantastic book ever'. Nice bright images and humour keep him enthralled most nights and rare not to find a Mungo book in his bags when going on holiday. Highly recommended.

Yet another great book in the series. I have bought lots of books in this series for my nephew and he loves them. They are very well written, illustrated and the effort you can put into the characters makes it a fab read. My nephew always reaches for these books at bed time and he is 10 today, so not just for the very young!

My daughter loved this book, she loves dinosaurs, she loves adventure, we both love the humour. Lovely illustrations and once again, just like the other 'Mungo' stories a twist in the tale. More please!
