Sometimes the power cord will have connection problems and your Mac will play that tune it makes when it's being charged. Not only is it really annoying, it's really, really bad for your computer, and your computer's battery. I will be getting an Apple cord as soon as I can.

Somehow misplaced my computer charging cord in a move and while I was a bit apprehensive about not buying OEM this cord has performed without a hitch. I would not hesitate to purchase it again.

So far so good. My original MacBook cord stopped working after two years. I purchased this three weeks ago and it is working. I do have to be much more precise about placing it in the charging port to ensure that it does turn on. The original cord only needed to be placed near the port for the magnet to snap it into place.The charging speed seems to be similar. I do love the fact that it is braided and matches the color of my computer.
