I have natural thick biracial hair. I really like this dryer for the price. My hair drys using it quickly. It's a little interesting to find a place to dry my hair. You need a chair you can adjust and a good place to put the dryer. I set the dryer on my kitchen island which is higher than most tables. It's not the most comfortable thing to sit under just because the height is not adjustable so you have to rely on your chair for that- but it's not unbearable for drying either. I'm satisfied with it and wouldn't opt to return or buy one of the more high end dryers. I like that the air can adjust from being cold to hot. Storage is really cool to, the dryer folds down and you can carry it kind of like you would a bucket. I would recommend this product and 10/10 would buy it again. I definitely believe it helps reduce frizz to.

I have natural, very dense hair and this hair dryer got my hair dry in a little over an hour. The medium setting gets pretty hot, so I didn’t need to use the highest setting for that long. It’s also easy to use. Satisfied with my purchase.

Love this for an at home hair maintenance accessory. Heats very good, easy to store.

I am old enough to have sat under a bonnet hairdryer with enormous rollers for over an hour every time I washed my hair in high school and hated it so much that I finally gave in and went with my natural curls once the 70s made that acceptable. Now I am old enough to have developed arthritis and I can no longer even hold a blow dryer so, when my hairdresser suggested I get one I could sit under, I started by looking for a used salon dryer (except I don't have a place for one). Then I did some research and discovered this incredibly reasonably priced product which is... PERFECT! Oh, okay, nothing is perfect (hence only four stars) and neither is RED because I haven't figured out yet how to lower the height of the hood, but for that... it serves my purposes exactly as desired. Assuming that it doesn't stop working al of a sudden, I imagine it will be drying my hair for the rest of my life. If you are debating the purchase, unsure if it can be worth the ever so low price—IT IS! Buy it now and find a good book to read while your hair dries.

I love it! I've only been under here for 23 minutes on High and the top of my hair is dry. The sides are 80% dry - I'm going to check again at 30 minutes. I had to watch two YT videos to figure out how to adjust it. It's weird because where the neck meets the base looks like one piece of plastic melted together. I couldn't get it to raise when I stood on the right side of the base with my right hand on the base and raising it with my left hand. But when I crossed my arms and put my left hand on the base and pulled up with my right hand, it came right up. It was much easier the 2nd time I tried it. You have to put your weight on the base with your left hand and pull up. I hope that makes sense! Also, I have the dryer on a counter height island and I'm sitting on a 28 inch counter stool. I have about 2 inches left at the top of the dryer, which would work well if I had rods in. You may want to purchase an adjustable stool to use with the dryer if you need it shorter or taller. I'm 5'5". It's lightweight, despite what a YouTuber said, it doesn't feel cheap. It's plastic and that gives it its light weight. My only gripe is that another retailer that starts with a "W" has it in-store for $20 less and Amazon refused to price match.

I love this dryer! I have type 4 hair and it gets my hair dry in an hour! The only thing that I don’t like is that it’s a bit loud, but it is a dryer so it’s expected! 😂

So I have had this dryer for a few years now. Over all it works well. It gets very hot and drys my hair in a reasonable amount of time. My major issue with it it the 4 vents (holes?) at the back. So much of the air comes out of it and not enough from the smaller holes in the hood surroding your hair. I used to rotate so esch part of my head could be hit by the really hot part but now i just cover the with tape and the air flows through the hooded part much better. Overall a good and convient purchase but will likely be looking to upgrade soon.

As an African American woman with coily/curly hair, I know the importance of having a really good hooded dryer to set your curls after working so hard on styling. I can say that this hooded dryer is the BEST one I’ve ever had! It’s lightweight, easily adjustable, and distributes heat very evenly. And, the best part is its value for the money! It is a very affordable, quality dryer that I would definitely recommend.
