I had read all the reviews on this desk and decided to take a chance. It was delivered a week early and the box was not damaged, but very heavy. I unboxed all the pieces which was a little overwhelming since there are so many. I started putting the desk together and found the directions very easy to follow. I decided to try this without my husbands help. (I am a little handy). The whole process took about 4 to 5 hours but I now have a beautiful sturdy desk. I would recommend looking at the directions very carefully. I had to study a few of the steps more than once to make sure I was doing it correctly because I was afraid the wooden pegs with glue on them would not allow me to take the piece apart once the glue dried. I high recommend this desk. It is really a pretty desk with an off white faintly distressed finish. I wanted the filing cabinet also but didn't' have enough room, so I went with a night stand as my printer stand. The top of the desk is a beautiful color. Not too dark or too light. I highly recommend this desk.

Very strong and sturdy ! Love the farmhouse look in gray . Well made and good storage . Would definitely buy again Had a handyman put it together . MANY PIECES! Took about 4 hours to put together .

At this price point I was expecting lesser quality. However, like the title suggests, I was very pleasantly surprised with the quality of this desk! Pros: Beautiful wood grain and texture, feels durable, quality drawer hardware, lovely handles, detailed and accurate instructions, easy to assemble (but do suggest having assistance during certain steps - as the instructions also clearly indicate.) Cons: While the instructions give clear guidance on how to adjust the door cabinet hardware to sit straight, and also how to adjust the drawer hardware to have square drawers, this is a tedious task. I managed to get my drawers and cabinet to sit straight enough to not drive me crazy, but if the company would pre-install these aspects to sit square (other furniture purchases were sent with pre-installed hardware) then it would be a 5/5. The hardware installation took the most time out of everything and is the single most effective aspect to having properly spaced drawers and cabinetry that are the entire face of this piece of furniture. Because of the amount of hardware to be installed PLUS the difficulty of adjusting the drawers (cabinet door not so bad, but drawers require going into assembled desk and finagling three tiny screws per hardware piece - one drawer has 4 hardware pieces), I'm giving it 4 stars. Secondly, and least importantly, a larger plug port (existing has two plugs, 1 C port and 1 USB port) would be much appreciated. I would and do still absolutely recommend this desk.

Wow! Very impressed with the quality for the cost! Directions were 9 out of 10. I got hung up on 2 steps, but I think that was more me than the directions. The pilot holes that were made were pretty bad, but easily fixable. As a female putting this together mostly on my own, it took me in total around nine hours! I will say though, well worth it! It looks beautiful, very very sturdy and plenty of space! Worth the purchase!

Very please with this desk. For the price, I think the quality is impressive for a non wood piece of furniture. Much higher quality than ikea but lower cost. The instructions were among the best I’ve seen. Each bag of hardware was labeled and the instructions pictured exactly what each label consisted of. Construction was time consuming and the pilot holes were not that great (recruited my husband to help with that). All in all I love how it looks, everything fit together well with final construction, and I highly recommend.

Product doesn't even deserve a star! Assembling the desk was nothing short of a nightmare. I am a maintenance professional and am extremely qualified to assemble what should have been a relatively quick process. Under 2 hours would have been the norm for a furniture piece of this size. The first day, I spent 4 hours partially assembling it and the following day, approximately 3 more hours more to finish it. This furniture is extremely heavy for its size. I will say that the instructions were easy to read and comprehend. Once the desk was assembled, I realized that the height and width of the opening where you sit, did not fit my 6' 2" frame. I felt like I was sitting at a kids desk. Nowhere on the description or specifications were these dimensions detailed. I started a return on Amazon and was instructed to disassemble and put the product back in its original packaging so it could be sent to the third party vendor. To disassemble it would be impossible, since the assembly process consisted of using glue. I would have had to take it apart with a sledge hammer, which would've destroyed it. After starting a return and calling Amazon Customer service four times, and then putting in a claim with their A-Z guarantee, I realized that they were not going to do anything for me, All they did was repeatedly email me a form letter, which did not address the issue I was having, and the subsequently cancel the claim a few days later. This happened four (4) times. It should be noted, that the cost to ship the product back to the third party vendor, assembled, would have been $1,500. Amazon did not come through and refund me for the product that I can't use. On a good note, the manufacturer offered me $35 to keep it, which is a joke. I will never purchase any type of furniture again from Amazon.
