Recording/Playing is amazing for someone just getting started or returning to cassettes!
Some of yall are tripping. This cassette player/recorder is amazing. Is it the best quality out there? I have no idea this is my first decent one. I will say I purchased another top rated brand from amazon that was technically a converter, and that was Nintendo Ds speaker like when it came to quality. I am just wanting to record a playlist here and there to a tape and start a collection of tapes and be able to listen to them. Re Are Rewind shouldn't get that much hate from the cassette community. This cassette player is great for the price compared to some "vintage" ones I have seen on Ebay. I do not think the cassette community really understands who this product is for, it seems to me to be targeted towards a newer audience who would like to experience cassettes for the first time or revisit them. I have listened to Spotify for years and honestly can't really tell a difference other than a small "hissing" sound, but that isn't really noticeable. I have a few songs on Spotify that already add that "hiss" near the end of a song for the vintage feel. I almost didn't buy this product because the reviews made it seem like it was another crappy cassette player that you couldn't enjoy. Reddit made it seem like recording on one of these was gonna be the worst mistake I ever made, that is not my experience. I saw a comment saying We Are Rewind are a bunch of hipsters who wanted to cash in on cassettes, but the irony is that comment is coming from people who only buy old *ss players so they can look like they are from the 80's. Hipsters calling other people hipsters is crazy. I personally am glad I spent the money on this device, I'd rather support a company that is currently producing new cassette players so they can see the demand and possibly get the money or connections needed to make cassette players with all the cool features they had before but with a modern twist. I don't understand how only buying used players or decks is gonna help this dying form of entertainment. Sony is clearly not gonna make Walkmans anytime soon, they blew up with all the shows featuring cassettes and can clearly see the demand for the old Walkmans on Ebay, yet didn't cash out. I have been given two Walkmans by family members and they always have a broken belt. I could fix it, however I'd rather buy a newer one vs a $700 "vintage" deck that is parts only.

Sturdy case, great sound
This is a quality product with a sturdy, well made metal case. Very good sound quality, full, rich base and clear undistorted high sound spectrum. I was very impressed, sounds as good as any high quality portable tape player from the 80's. The rechargeable battery is a big plus and lasts for many hours.

VERY good. Minor misses. Buy it.
This is really good. I've had it about 3 weeks and use it regularly. The battery lasts long enough for me to forget when I charged it last. The feel of the player is solid and well-made. Loading tapes makes all of the satisfying sounds you want. Usually I Bluetooth to headphones, but I also listen via headphone jack to my car. My headphones are cheap but it sounds clear and predictable. It sounds amazing through the jack on a BMW Hi-Fi system. Complaints... - When fast forwarding or rewinding it doesn't stop after it's done. I worry a little that it might hurt itself continuing to try. - The hatch wants to close itself to the point that it's hard to load it one handed. On the plus side, it doesn't open when you don't want it to.

Best modern day portable cassette player yet!
With its sleek metal like housing it’s pretty cool. The internal battery last longer than 2 AA batteries. It uses USB C for the charge. Sound quality & tape speed is optimal. I use mine in the car playing my old mix tapes and so far no electrical interference like I get in the cheaper ones. With the Bluetooth connection it will pair to any Bluetooth receiver that I have. I use it connected to my Bose soundbar in the house. It does record but I wouldn’t use it for recording music. It’s expensive for what it is BUT you get what you pay for.

The final evolution of the cassette player
Yes, you can buy a very cheap cassette player at the flea market, however the elastic bands will be worn out and your music will not sound great. This cassette player sounds amazing, has that typical cassette player charm, while being comfortable with modern tech. It's also built to last

bluetooth is terrible
The bluetooth simply doesn't work. I have three different wireless speaker options that have zero issue connecting to any device that I have except for this, which seems to only be read by my TV (which I didn't even know could connect to bluetooth). I finally said "sure why not" and clicked on "pair": nothing. I turned my TV off, placed this device next to my Bose speaker: nada. Tuned the Bose speaker off and placed it next to my Kantu Tuk speakers which were set to connect to a device: no dice. I turned that one off and then placed the cassette player next to my KEiiD desktop speakers: again, NOTHING. I am definitely doing what the directions say. THE BLUETOOTH DOESN'T WORK

Omg! Buy right NEOW!
Great quality, sturdy, sound quality superb. Bluetooth works like a charm and most of all it takes you back. You’ll be obsessed with trying to find cassettes on eBAY and Tapeheadcity (hint:).

Product stopped charging after 4 months - no warranty support from manufacturer or retailer
The player is beautiful, to be sure. And I love the ability to connect to Bluetooth. Theoretically this is exactly what I'm looking for in a cassette player. But it died. I purchased this on 4/19/24 and 4 months later it stopped charging and will not play when connected to a plug. I reached out to We Are Rewind and their policy is that the retailer is responsible. For me, that means there is only a 30 day return window and a 90 day repair window for the device. And I'm at about 120 days. I'm seeing other reviews with this feedback as well, so even though I am tempted to purchase another one - while it's not the best player, it really is beautiful - I can't bring myself to replace it.
