No it is not real wood. It is MDF, pressed board. Which is glued together and compressed saw dust! If it gets wet it is done for. It is not worth the price tag. Had my daughter not seen it I would have sent it back.

Q: Can you repaint or is there stickers or weird paint on front? I saw someone ask but I’d like the manufacturer to answer.

I have this dollhouse, and while I love the size and the layout, but both the interior and exterior are just awful. The living room in particular looks like a cave. I'm in the process of painting the whole thing, inside and out. (I also took out the stairs.)

The base of the house is 25.5" wide and 11" deep.
