Good quality device! Perfect for the gym!
I've been using this mp3 player at the gym for at least 6 months with new sport bluetooth noise cancelling earbuds. It works really well, and I don't end up doomscrolling on my phone between sets, and it fits in my pocket so nicely and I can forget it's there. The bluetooth seemed to work in fits and starts at first (choppy), but then I downsized all my mp3's to 128k (with free online software) and it works much much better - not flawless but maybe only cuts out a few times during a workout, so totally manageable. It's my speculation it works better when the gym isn't so crowded we're not all on top of each other, but that's just speculation. I was able to easily set up playlists for my all my music and it holds tons of songs (especially at 128k). If you're having trouble setting up playlists, it follows the old Sandisk Spot Clip Plus formatting guidelines and folder structure, and there is a lot of old posts line about how to set that up. So I was able to use text files with .m3u extensions. Anyway, sound quality is great and I enjoy the EQs. The feel of the plastic housing doesn't feel that substantial, like it's fragile, but I haven't had any issues and dropped it a few times. I've never gotten it wet before though, so I don't know about that. The battery life happened to be good too! For me, at least 8 hours. One time the batter life indicator was on the last leg and so I left it going to see and it lasted 4 more hours. I'm a fan of this little guy!

Great little mp3 player!
I read a few dozen reviews of mp3 players before landing on this one, and it's working out great. I bought it to be able to spend some time away from my phone, and build up my digital music collection again. It's been a few months, and I couldn't be happier with it. It's easy to add music from my computer - just drag and drop, no special software needed. (I have a Mac.) It's TINY, which I think is a plus. Easy to clip onto my shorts at the gym. It has a super simple interface, not much to get distracted by. The FM radio works pretty good! The charge lasts a few days with moderate use. I haven't used the pedometer or the stopwatch. I wanted something pretty simple and easy to use, but with decent (I would even venture to say great) sound, and this delivered.

Cool Features, Good Sound!
OVER ALL, THIS IS A GREAT BLUETOOTH MP3 PLAYER. IT IS SMALL AND LIGHT WEIGHT WITH A BUILT IN CLIP MAKING IT GREAT FOR WORKING OUT (COMES WITH AN ARM STRAP). SOUND QUALITY IS GOOD. BLUETOOTH WORKS GREAT. VOLUME GETS PLENTY LOUD. IT DOES OFFER A LOT OF OTHER FEATURES AS WELL: - VIEW PICTURES - WATCH VIDEOS/MOVIES - LISTEN TO THE RADIO - VOICE RECORD WITH BUILT IN MIC - READ EBOOK TEXT FILES - TRACK STEPS WITH THE PEDOMETER - SET MUSIC ALARM - TIME EVENTS WITH THE BUILT IN STOP WATCH - VIEW A BASIC CALENDER - FOLDER/FILE VIEWER MORE DETAILS BELOW ON THE FEATURES: - MUSIC PLAYER ITSELF IS PRETTY STANDARD FOR MUSIC PLAYERS: I PERSONALLY USE THE FOLDER VIEWER TO ACCESS AND PLAY MY MUSIC. THIS MAKES IT EASY TO ORGANIZE YOUR MUSIC HOW EVER YOU WANT. (FILES AND FOLDERS MUST BE NAMED AND ORGANIZED PRIOR TO UPLOADING TO THE PLAYER, BECAUSE THERE IS NO WAY TO EDIT FILE NAMES ON THE PLAYER ITSELF). - EQUALIZER - WORKS PRETTY GOOD - STANDARD PLAY SETTINGS/OPTIONS: REPEAT ALL, SHUFFLE, REPEAT 1 - VARIABLE PLAY SPEED - HAVE THE SONG PLAY SLOWER OR FASTER - VOLUME LIMIT - SET IT SO THE VOLUME ONLY GETS AS LOUD AS THE LIMIT YOU SET (USE VOLUME KEYS TO SET THE LIMIT) - "REPEAT SETTINGS" - WHICH IS AN A - B REPEAT MODE THAT ALLOWS YOU TO SELECT A START POINT(A) AND AN END POINT(B) IN A SONG (SHORT PRESS THE FAST-FORWARD BUTTON TO SET A AND B) AND HAVE THAT SECTION OF THE SONG "REPLAY" UP TO 10 TIMES WITH AN "INTERVAL" PAUSE TIME UP TO 10 SECONDS BETWEEN EACH REPLAY. - VOLUME: GETS PRETTY LOUD, DEFINITELY LOUDER THAN OTHER MP3 PLAYERS I HAVE USED. - DISPLAY/SCREEN: SUPRISINGLY GOOD AND BRIGHT DISPLAY: 1) 1.5" SCREEN @ 128*128 RESOLUTION 2) VIDEOS - VIDEO QUALITY IS PRETTY GOOD FOR SUCH A SMALL SCREEN AND THE AUDIO MATCHED WELL WITH VIDEO. I WAS UNABLE TO READ SUBTITLES THOUGH WHICH IS TO BE EXPECTED WITH SUCH A SMALL SCREEN. I CAN HONESTLY SAY THAT I COULD WATCH AN ENTIRE MOVIE ON THIS LITTLE PLAYER IF I WANTED AND BE ABLE TO SEE AND UNDERSTAND WHAT IS GOING ON A) VIDEO FORMAT: AMV @ 128*128 RESOLUTION B) CONVERTER SOFTWARE TOOL FILE IS INCLUDED ON THE MP3 PLAYER AND MUST BE INSTALLED ON YOUR WINDOWS COMPUTER: - THE .RAR CONVERTER FILE ON THE MP3 PLAYER CAN EASILY BE INSTALLED ON A WINDOWS COMPUTER. - MAKE SURE YOU HAVE DIRECTX 9.0 OR HIGHER INSTALLED FOR CONVERTER TO WORK - CONVERTER WORKS GREAT WITH NO ISSUES. - I WAS ABLE TO CONVERT U571, A 2HR MOVIE (2.11GB), IN ABOUT 15-20MIN, AND IT ONLY TOOK LIKE 5MIN-7MIN TO UPLOAD IT TO THE PLAYER 3) PICTURES: A) FORMAT: JPEG, BMP, AND GIF @ 128*128 SIZE/RESOLUTION B) THE PICTURE QUALITY IS DECENT AND ON PAR WITH WHAT ONE WOULD EXPECT FOR SUCH A SMALL INEXPENSIVE MEDIA PLAYER. C) NOTE: PICTURES MUST BE CONVERTED/RESIZED TO AS CLOSE TO A 128x128 SIZE/RESOLUTION FOR THEM TO BE VIEWED ON THE PLAYER WITHOUT LOTS OF DISTORTIONS, STREAKS, AND NOISE. - NAVIGATING WITH THE HARD BUTTONS - RETURNING/BACKING OUT TO A PREVIOUS SCREEN CAN GET A LITTLE CONFUSING: 1) FOR MUSIC/VIDEO/EBOOK - PRESS THE DOWN BUTTON ONCE TO GO BACK TO PREVIOUS SCREEN, THEN KEEP PRESSING THE REWIND/LEFT BUTTON TO CONTINUE BACKING OUT TO THE MAIN INTERFACE 2) OTHER APPS: JUST USE THE REWIND/LEFT BUTTON TO GO BACK TO PREVIOUS SCREENS/MENUS - TF/MICRO SD CARD SLOT: UP TO 128GB - TYPE-C USB 2.0: CONNECTS FINE WITH WINDOWS COMPUTER, BUT YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO CONNECT IT TO YOUR PHONE VIA TYPE_C-TO-TYPE_C CABLE (I'M USING SAMSUNG S22 ULTRA) - BLUETOOTH: - CONNECTED/PAIRED QUICKLY WITH HEADPHONES - GREAT RANGE: I STILL HAD SEEMLESS CONNECTION WITH THE MP3 PLAYER UPSTAIRS IN THE BEDROOM AND ME BEING DOWNSTAIRS IN THE KITCHEN - TOOLS/OTHER FEATURES: 1) BASIC CALENDAR - CAN SCROLL THROUGH DAYS, MONTHS, AND YEARS 2) STOPWATCH: - 4 SLOTS - DELETES DATA FROM ALL 4 SLOTS UPON EXITING APP 3) ALARM - EXCELLENT FEATURE: - CHOOSE A CYCLE: A: ONCE: SELECT A SPECIFIC DATE FROM THE CALENDAR B: DAILY: SOUNDS ALARM EVERY DATE AT SET TIME C: WORK DAY: MON-FRI - CHOOSE SOUND: A: MUSIC B: EMBEDDED RING - SET ALARM VOLUME - BATTERY: 1) SEEMS TO LAST A LONG TIME WITH NO COMPLAINTS ESPECIALLY USING CORDED HEADPHONES 2) CHARGING TIME ONLY TAKES A COUPLE HOURS 3) ONLY USE A DC 5V 500mA - 800mA WALL CHARGER. I HAVE BEEN USING A DC 5V 1000mA CHARGER WITH THE CORD PROVIDED WITH THE MP3 AND THAT SEEMS TO WORK FINE WITH NO ISSUES. AGPTEK SELLS A 5V 500mA WALL CHARGER ON AMAZON FOR MP3 PLAYERS AND OTHER SMALL DEVICES. - PEDOMETER - WORKS PRETTY GOOD AND RELATIVELY EASY TO USE: 1) STORED HISTORY DATA IS DISPLAYED IS AS FOLLOWS: S: STEP COUNT D: DISTANCE WALKED/TRAVELED (METERS) S: WALKING SPEED (KILOMETERS/HOUR) T: TIME 2) ONLY HAS 7 SLOTS TO STORE STEP DATA: "HISTORY 1", "HISTORY 2", "HISTORY 3", . . ."HISTORY 7" THE NAMES OF EACH SLOT ARE UNCHANGABLE 3) THERE IS NO WAY TO OVERWRITE A SPECIFIC HISTORY SLOT 4A) IF YOU TRY TO SAVE ONCE ALL 7 HISTORY SLOTS ARE FULL THE PEDOMETER PROGRAM CRASHES AND BACKS YOU OUT OF THE PEDOMETER APP TO THE MAIN DISPLAY MENU. YOU MUST DELETE ONE OR MORE HISTORY SLOTS TO RESOLVE THIS ISSUE. EVEN IF ALL THE SLOTS ARE FULL AND YOU DELETE ONE HISTORY SLOT: FOR EXAMPLE, "HISTORY 2", AND THEN START YOUR PEDOMETER, IT WILL NOT STORE YOUR NEXT SAVED DATA TO "HISTORY 2"(YOUR ONLY EMPTY SLOT) BUT OVERWRITE "HISTORY 1" AND CONTINUE TO OVERWRITE EACH HISTORY SLOT SEQUENCIALLY UNTIL ALL 7 SLOTS HAVE BEEN OVERWRITTEN, THEN IT WILL CRASH UNLESS 1 OR MORE OR ALL SLOTS HAVE BEEN DELETED AND THEN IT WILL START STORING DATA SEQUENTIALLY FROM "HISTORY 1" TO "HISTORY 7" AGAIN. 4B) THE BEST WAY AROUND THIS IS TO SIMPLY CLEAR THE ENTIRE HISTORY BEFORE TRYING TO SAVE MORE PEDOMETER DATA -RADIO: MUST USE WIRED HEADPHONES FOR IT TO WORK: SEEMS TO WORK OK A) HAS OPTION TO AUTO TUNE SCAN FOR STATIONS OR MANUAL TUNE B) HAS 30 PRESET STATIONS THAT YOU CAN SAVE YOUR FAVORITE STATIONS TO C) YOU CAN RECORD AUDIO FROM THE RADIO TO THE MP3 PLAYER STORAGE - EBOOK READER - A COOL FEATURE, BUT THE TEXT DOES NOT WORD WRAP. - VOICE RECORDING: WORKS PRETTY GOOD. 1) CHOOSE A BITRATE: 512kbs, 768kbs, 1024kbs, 1536kbs 2) CHOOSE FILE FORMAT: MP3 OR WAV 3) AUDIO FILES ARE AUTO NAMED USING THE CURRENT DATE AND TIME.

Not for Robust Enough for Young Children
USB port is finicky. (Difficult to get it to charge) Not suitable for children. (Easy to crush.) The device is light and looks nice. It was simple to load files onto the device. Just connect to a computer and select the file transfer mode on the device in the displayed menu. The second time I charged device, I had to re-plug the USB-C cable several times before the device's interface displayed that it was charging. Others have noted the USB-C port has issues. Do check that it is charging after connecting power. The device depends on the screen for user feedback. One cannot "guess" through the menus after the screen fails. The device is not robust, and minor crushing is enough to destroy the screen and prevent audio playback. (A 2nd grader child caught it in a car door. While the door will act as a lever arm, the force moving the door was small.) The outer-shell had only minor damage, but it was enough to render the device useless. The device immediately stopped playing music and the screen broke. At a very low price point, these might be useful as disposable music players.
