Easy to use. Just hook up to a hose bibb and turn on the water. I used this to calibrate the control panel for a well pump. I adjusted the flow to 2 gallon per minute as easily read on this flow meter. This then allowed me to make the electronic adjustments on the control panel. Works as advertised.

Looks well-built. In addition to measuring flow rate, it also measures total volume, average flow rate and a couple others. Does liters and gallons. Made for gardening, but I intend to use it for transferring liquid while home-brewing beer. While technically not rated as food grade, it appears to be easy to clean. Display is easy to read, and auto shutoff saves battery life.

The media could not be loaded. The meter comes with readable instructions. You need to install the included battery by pulling off the back of the case and then pulling out a rubber-like sleeve that covers the battery chamber. A problem is that the back is affixed only by friction for some plastic prongs and during handling can easily pull off. The battery chamber is weather resistant, but the design makes me concerned that accidental immersion would result in water infliltration very fast. Other units like this that I have seen use a screw in plug to protect the battery chamber. Although the display will show you tenths of a gallon, accuracy of flow in my experience depends on using a mid-level range of water. Very small flow, like trying to measure a drip irrigation system, seems to under-report and wide open flow at 60psi, like a full open 3/4 garden house, tends to over-report. However, if you are trying to keep an eye on water usage as a guide, this is a working option to provide some decision making support. I would not suggest relying on this to cross-validate a conventional water meter, as this is not in that league in terms of equipment quality. The push button works smoothly and allows you to dispaly various metrics as shown in its instructions. For the price point, it does give you useful information so long as you consider the operational context.

I use this with the flush kit to flush out the holding tanks without having to worry about overfilling the tank. Takes the guesswork out of it and prevents the mess from an overflow.

Great unit! Gives me the gallons I use and this way I know when to put replacement filters in housings!
