I got this as a Christmas gift for my 2 year old nephew who absolutely loves dinosaurs and kinetic sand. He just about lost his mind when he opened the gift and realized two of his favorite things were combined. My sister told me he plays with this all the time and the carrying case it comes with helps keep everything stored and easy for him to just grab and play with when he wants. Turns out my niece also loves the kit! And now they both pretend they are archaeologists digging for dinosaur bones. Highly recommend this gift to anyone hesitating. The plastic case is what sold it for me. All the other dinosaur kits had just a cardboard cut out. I liked that this was self-contained.

Out of all her birthday gifts at her 2nd birthday, the Dinosaur Play Sand Kit was her favorite and she continues to ask to play with it each day after she comes home from school. She loves to feel the sand and grabs a handful and slowly drop it back into the box. Dinosaurs are her favorite and she buries then over and over again in the sand, to pull them out and give dinosaur hugs to each other. The molds are easy for a 2 year-olds hands to operate.

I have never written a review on Amazon ever. I have two super active boys, and was shocked, amazed, and overjoyed that they played with this for so long! I would 10/10 recommend!! I just had to come on and RAVE about this product! My 6 year old and 3 year old played with this for HOURS!! (I also bought the construction set) I love how it came in a a super nice container that can be stored easily. This is my first experience with kinetic sand, and I have to say...I almost kept the kit for myself! So relaxing and therapeutic!!

When I opened this for my son on Christmas morning, the sand was as hard as a rock. We had to hunt down a spray bottle and some water to soften it up. Feels like regular sand.

Update: reached out to the seller and they apologized and mailed out a replacement quickly! I just received it in the mail and it was already broken! The shipping box was fine which means it was mailed to me like this. Very disappointed I was excited to let my son play with it but he was extremely upset I wouldn’t let him due to me being scared he would cut himself on the broken plastic

This was a gift for my son and he absolutely loves it. As a four year old, he did get some of the sand outside the bin but it was super easy to wipe back into the tub and vacuumed right up off the chair. He is not an easy child to get to sit with one activity for long but this sensory activity is a sure winner. He played for several hours at the table quite contentedly.

I purchased this for my 2.5 year old autistic son and he is over the moon about it. Very little mess, way easier to deal with than play sand. Molds very well and the dinosaurs are great! I personally want just a little more sand, but it does come with plenty for play time. It's a nice travel size too so you can pack it up and take it to a play date or picnic to occupy your little ones
