Great for our 3rd grader boy struggling with reading
These books have just the right amount of fun and silly topped with pictures too. Our ADHD 3rd grader who struggles with reading plowed through all of them over Christmas break and loved them! He was really freaking out when this week in his English class he had to write a book review for a chapter book he has recently read, and kept saying that he can never read one... when I reminded him that he had these he'd read recently, he was elated! He was so terrified of chapter books, but the shorter chapters and engaging material for a little boy are perfect for getting him past the panic attack and into a budding reader. I think we'll spoil him again and grab the nest set for his birthday!

Great books for kids just learning to read chapter books
First off, I think they push kids a little too fast these days. With that disclaimer in mind, my son is in 1st grade. One day we were at Target and he wanted to buy a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle "chapter book". He told me other kids in his class were reading chapter books and it was the class goal to be able to read chapter books by the end of the school year. I didn't want to discourage him so we got the TMNT book. However, as I learned, finding beginning level chapter books is not easy. For example, the Magic Treehouse books are wonderful, but my 1st grader isn't ready for them. I happened upon a Stink book at BJ's Wholesale, thumbed through it, and thought "wow! this is exactly what I was looking for." I then went to Amazon to order the rest of the series...and the prices here simply cannot be beat. Its still a work in progress, but my son has improved his reading and its amazing to sit there with him as he works through these Stink books.

Entertaining and Good Stories for Kids
My 7 year old is loving this series. He’s on the shorter side and can relate to stinks issues. The family relationships are good and the stories keep him interested. He reads a chapter to me each night and we talk about Stinks choices and how he handles different situations. Overall quite happy with Megan McDonalds creativity and writing style. Definitely keeping my son engaged and he is not a big reader.

Great books for boys!
Great books for boys! My son struggled in reading and this series actually got him to like reading. My read every night. He read a page, then I read a page. Before I knew it, he was reading chapters on his own. Very funny books that held his attention and made him want to read more. This is set was for my nephew who is now struggling.

Very good but his sister's books are a bit better.
We've been reading this to our 4 1/2 year old son. He loves them. He gets a chapter or two per night and can't wait for the next chapter. Since then we've read lots of Stink and Judy Moody books (Judy is Stink's sister). We even gave the intro set to Stink and to Judy starter sets to my neice and nephew. My brother in law really did laugh out loud while reading one scene. My son likes the Judy Moody books too. And I think that those are slightly better.

Great for my 7yr old son!!
I was looking for easy chapter books for my 7 yr old son who is transitioning from picture books. These books are great. They are funny and he loves them. He loves to tell me the whole story after he reads them. He plans to read all of them in the series. He is up to book 7.Am glad I bought them.

Great for 1st/2nd grader!
My son just finished 1st grade and loves these books! The series is great for summer! They are easy enough for him to read but also still challenging enough so he’s not regressing over the summer. I hear him giggle throughout reading these books!
