I couldn't identify the material, but importantly, we've had 3 kids play on it for hours with no slipping incidents. The mat is easy to clean with a light damp cloth – any muck wipes right off. The mat uses 4 AA batteries. I recommend using rechargeable batteries to save money in the long run, especially with frequent use. The mat connects seamlessly to an Android phone, and we experienced no connection drops after about 2 hours of use. The device has a bright and clear step counter. The arrows are very bright, colourful, and responsive to the touch. We didn't notice any missed tracking. While the main focus is using your feet, you can also sit on the mat and use your hands for an upper-body workout. One thing to note is the speakers are very loud, much louder than we expected. Fortunately, you can control the music volume from your phone. This dance mat reminds me of the fun dance games from 90s consoles and arcades. It's a great way to exercise and keep fit, and it would be perfect for parties with prize-based games (highest score wins, rematch on draws). Overall, it's a great game!

The kids loved this dance Mat. It is ideal for both girls and boys and provided great interaction whilst they competed to see who could be the best dancer. The dance mat is fab for improving/developing kids coordination, balance, fitness, confidence and social skills interacting with other kids and friends. The mat is soft, with an anti sip design which is easy to wipe down and clean. It is also easy to fold up and store away taking up little room. The mat needs 4 aa batteries which provides the power, there are 27 levels, 3 levels with 9 difficulties on each, one simple rhythm game, a memory game and a game which you play using your phone. The mat has built in music to the games and there is a volume button to select how loud you want it. We found the mat to be well made and responsive. This is a great interactive game for kids and provides a lot of entertainment.

Its a nice brightly coloured mat. You need 4 AA batteries to power it. A useful upgrade to this, would be having an inbuilt battery and usb c charging port. The supplied screwdriver seems too small though for the battery cover, so I would suggest using a bigger one so you don't round the screw head. It works fine, and the speakers are quite loud for their size. The arrows are responsive, and you can either play the inbuilt tunes or pair with your phone for music. To pair just press the bluetooth button and on your phone it is simply labelled as bluetooth. The video shows the mat playing music from my phone and the arrows lighting up with the music. So it works well, and having bluetooth really expands what you can play through it. The mat though is smaller than the pictures suggest, and it looks like the mat has been made to look larger than it is. See pic showing an A4 envelope on the mat. Still it would be great fun for ages of I would say 3 to 6. Lots of fun can be had, and it keeps them a lot more active than a Tablet or console can. Price for the features seems reasonable.
