Worked well
used it to control a 120v 1/4HP motor, motor had a surge current of 8A and a run current, under load, of 5A, control kept working , no issues.

Works well
Was tired of burning wood with a fast router, this does a fine job of slowing it down to find that sweet spot. Also plan to slow down my grinder when needed. Would recommend

Good for the right stuff
I about burnt my shop exaust fan up so different size pully did that but works great on my Sawzall and led lights. At least most motors have overheat shut off. Probably user error but still just give it 4 stars. Good price though.

I use this withy rotary tools
I like the extra control I have with my rotary tools by placing this in line with the foot pedal. It works great for added control when porting saws.

Not for everything
This control did not work in my application. Be attentive to operating ranges.

This small but very useful speed controller can control the speed of many common tools and machines. It is a very simple plug and play unit with a knob to select the speed. There is no rpm counter. It is rated for 4,000 watts. It works very well. It is well-made.
