Genuine Bosch Neff Siemens Oven Lamp Glass Light Bulb with Cover & Removal Tool

The glass cover on my oven lamp was stuck. It would move back and forth a little but would not unscrew no matter how hard I tried. I even used rubber gloves as some recommend. The procedure (as recommended by teh manufacturer) is to heat the oven to 50 C for about 30 minutes, which softens any grease that may have caused the cover to stick. Then use the plastic removal tool which fits into the grooves in the cover to unscew it. The removal tool has a protrusion that makes it easy to grab and apply more force. If you need more leverage, you can insert the shank of a screwdriver in the slot in the protrusion and use that to turn it. I didn't have to do that - just the pre-heating and the plastic tool did the trick. Part of the use of the tool is also because at 50C the glass cover is too hot to grab with your hands. The whole thing took about 15-30 seconds (after preheating the oven).

I bought this product as I could not remove the lamp cover inside the oven. The plastic tool removed the cover easily . Although I did follow a procedure which means turning on the oven set at 50 deg setting for 30 mins this melts any grease around light cover large thread. Then the cover removed easily with the tool provided.

The removal tool worked very well - I wasn't expecting that as I had previously struggled for a long time without it.The glass fitted easily.However, the bulb blew instantly!I replaced it with a bulb from my local hardware store (Compton 40 W oven lamp £3.50) which works fine.

Good value from supplier and no problems with delivery or product.My main purpose of the purchase of bulb glass and tool was to obtain the tool and get the correct lamp. The tool itself wasn’t quiye up to the job as it didn’t fit too well and as my glass was seized on, needed a real good twist to get off. The tool failed there. But, squirting WD40 on the screw area and leaving for two weeks and having oven on a couple of times, did allow the tool to do its job. Bit if your glass is so tight you cannot unscrew it, the tool alone most likely won’t help. Some releasing agent is needed. Be aware though that too much twist with it seized could break the lamp holder meaning you will have to disassemble the oven. So ensure several applications of a releasing agent like WD40 are applied over time and a couple of times heating the oven up.Overall, worth the purchase and although I didn’t use the glass cover, it fits well. The tool will prevent lost skin on knuckles as the self cleaning plates are sharp enough to do some serious damage to unsuspecting diyers. Articles seemed be genuine so a bonus there for me.

I bought this replacement bulb for my Neff oven but it has been impossible to use. The tool provided to help unscrew the bulb cover is completely useless. Several people tried to remove the bulb cover all without success, a variety of techniques were used- we did not give in easily. On contacting a local appliance engineer, we were told it would cost £90 as the bulb holder usually needed replacing as well and as there seemed to be movement in the whole unit, that seemed a reasonable supposition. Unless you have specialist tools, I would manage without the bulb or buy a new oven, not one with the light close to the grill element.

The bulb died in our oven and although I’ve put a new bulb in before I could not find the tool to unscrew it. So bought the set which arrived on time and well packaged. Did my best to unscrew the glass cover with the tool but although I could feel it turn I just couldn’t pull the glass down. Even heating the oven to no avail. So we are just going to do without the internal light. Any ideas would be appreciated - it’s a Neff oven. Thankyou

With the help of WD40 I finally managed to remove the glass cover using the removal tool. After all that effort, I was disappointed and somewhat annoyed when the bulb blew after a couple of days use. I requested the company send a replacement bulb or partial refund as there was no problem with the glass cover or the removal tool.Despite my full explanation, they wanted me to return the order "unused and in its original packaging". If it was unused, I would not have known it was faulty!I noticed other customers have had bulbs which failed after a short time. Maybe mine was a new record.Poor quality item and poor customer service. Other two items in order were ok so gave 2 stars.

Bought this complete pack because my bulb had broken and I couldn't remove the cover to replace it. I must admit using the tool made the job a lot easier and without breaking the glass cover, so I now have a spare. This has been excellent value & would recommend to anyone. The tool especially is a must.
