28550-75 - Lock for Locks, Steel

This CISA padlock is built far better than any of the padlocks that you will normally find for sale by retailers (brick and mortar stores, locksmiths, or online retailers) in the United States. So far, I have found that the ONLY competing padlocks of this style (high security shutter or slide bolt padlocks) manufactured anywhere in the world are the Mul-T-Lock #12 NE series and the Squire WS75 series, and I own at least two of each of these padlocks. You are wasting your time and money buying any lock of lesser quality than these, and burglars will laugh at your vain attempt to skimp on cost. Of the previously mentioned padlocks, the Mul-T-Lock has the best pick resistance (Interactive+ keyway), but this CISA is the strongest built (thickest body and thickest bolt), with excellent fit and craftsmanship, and an impressive weather-resistant and corrosion-resistant finish. If you need to lock up something that you actually value, this is a lock that will resist brute force attacks far longer than your neighbors' padlocks. However, you must pair a lock of this type with robust high security hasps or awesome chains (check out Abus chains) that are equally strong and tough -- it's that "weakest link" thing, you know? Let's all make life harder for burglars, looters, and vandals.

Bought this lock for my business shipping container based on information from the Lockpicking Lawyer (of YouTube fame). It took him at least a minute to pick this lock, which probably translates to a year for any mortal. I haven't had any luck picking it. Appears solid and well built. Pretty sure it would be easier to torch through the side of the conex than defeat this lock. Unless you're the LPL. Nothing is safe from that guy.

This lock is absolutely amazing, its built like a tank, no one will be getting into this without your say so without attracting attention, it took me 2 days of trying to get this lock picked and I lost the tip of one of my new picks doing it, the bolt itself cannot be got at the cut through once its in place so anything other than picking would be a thieves waste of time, I finally have something im happy to use on my motorbike
