I have four of these barrettes. They are a good quality and quite pretty. They hold my hair quite well and are comfortable.

I have long, not terribly thick hair but a lot of it that I like to put up or pull back with a large barrette. Problem is finding barrettes that can do the job without breaking or being too heavy or looking cheap or tacky. These barrettes do it for me. They are well made, stronger than I usually see, and the three color choices I made were true and beautiful. The company sent a free gift of a barrette that was less expensive but still much nicer than I can find locally and well made. Everything was packaged with care. I will definitely be ordering more of these barrettes and am thrilled to have found a company providing an array of fun, conservative but stylish choices. I highly recommend these barrettes. They are true to the size as stated and will hold all my hair up or pulled back without slippage. Worth the cost considering what is out there.

I was given 2 barrettes from France years ago. One I wore out and so I was pleasantly surprised to find the maker here on Amazon. I found this barrette which, while not exactly like the one I loved so much and wore out, IS a tortoise color and it is sturdy for my thick hair. The ONLY reason I gave it four stars is because my previous barrette had a BIG "Made in France" etched right on the metal barrette part and this one has a very small, barely legible "France" on the plastic part. "Made in France"- etch it on the metal proudly because your product is beautiful!

I have thin but curly hair and have been looking for a barrette to hold up all of my hair at once. Something that didn't snap back when I tried to clip it shut, something my hair wouldn't get caught up when I removed it and something that was also sturdy yet stylish. THIS IS IT! Yes, it's a bit more expensive that your typical barrette, but worth every single penny. I love it and wear it constantly. My hair stays put, the barrette doesn't pull, it closes with all of my hair in it, it's stylish and absolutely perfect. I cannot recommend this barrette enough! You won't regret it spoiling yourself with this barrette. I feel like it will last a long time.

Either the quality of these barrettes have gone way down hill or this is a fake. I have this EXACT barrette, purchased from Nordstrom 2 years ago. The Nordstrom clasp is sturdier and 'MADE IN FRANCE' is written on the center tension bar. On this one, 'FRANCE' is in raised letters on the plastic itself. This barrette is also just a hair longer than the Nordstrom barrette (I'd guess a millimeter), and the metal is flimsier/jankier. If it's not a fake, then France Luxe is making them with cheaper materials.

Nice purchase but a little pricy

I struggle with ponytail holders and scrunchies because my hair is thick and after a few weeks they are always too stretched out to use. I've never been a barrette person but I decided to try this one based on reviews. I thought no way would I be able to get all of my hair into this thing. I was wrong! Not only did it close easily with all my hair, it hasn't moved at all. For me, the price was worth it for this barrette.

The metal parts are easy to use and good to use, but the gold coating on them fell off quickly after I used them a few times. I hope the merchant can improve the quality and maintain the brand image.

This barrette is gorgeous and seems extremely well made. I have been using it for the past week and my hair hasn't gotten tangled in it once. I will definitely be replacing my other hair accessories with France Luxe products

love this barrette and use it all the time. I have a lot of hair that is wavy and this clips the hair nicely in the back. it won't work for all your hair unless you have fine hair. I also bought a similar one in black that is wider from the same brand. Only thing is that these are flippin' expensive! I doled out the cash for it because I seriously could not find anything in stores anywhere. the ones I found were either kinda cheap looking or were too small to hold my hair. That being said, I still think these brand name barrettes are quite expensive. Tho I guess if they are being shipped from Europe, it's costly. I never think of buying barrettes when I travel overseas, though I should. Would still recommend them though...lol...
