How does it work-is there any instruction book? We don't have one to use with it.

The Sewing Machine did work, our actual problem was that it has only one speed....fast. For such small clothing it is very difficult for a child to control the speed of the machine when it doesn't respond. I ended up teaching my daughter on my sewing machine and she did just fine. But, I will say the patterns and clothing material was really cute that came with the machine. But I probably wouldn't buy it again.
