LOVE, LOVE, LOVE - IT WORKS!
OH MY GOSH...it actually works!!!! I am SOO HAPPY to be able to say that this works!!!! For 3 years now we have been dealing with birds living under our large awning on our back porch. In other words, our beautifully freshly painted deck looks like a white war zone. Ugh, it's awful! Literally...the whole deck would be covered and bird droppings and it is not the easiest stuff to clean off of wood! The birds swarm under there when it is raining and we typically get 1-2 birds nest in the corners, every year... it is a constant battle with these birds!! Before applying this, I made sure nothing was in the existing birds nest (and there wasn't) and I went crazy applying this to the beams where the birds always gather. It has rained several times since doing so and I am soooo happy to say that we don't have a drop of bird droppings on our deck!!! I was weary but because of such great reviews and such great pricing, I had to give it a try. It was very easy to apply. I would just warn others to be very careful when applying! The gel is extremely sticky and it does not harden...the consistency stays gooey. We dropped a little on our deck and I don't know why but we just assumed it would harden... the next day we realized it does not harden so when we cleaned it up, it just smeared everywhere and left a sticky spot on our deck. Luckily it wasn't anything that a little goo gone couldn't handle! We now have a clean deck and no birds in sight! I would absolutely recommend this product and I would definitely buy more in the future if needed. This stuff really works!

The Birds R Gone ... and the first application lasted for three seasons!
February 5, 2013: This product is absolutely brilliant! It is horribly sticky, difficult to see, and quite effective. The gel has transformed what had become a sort of meeting-place for flying vermin (aka, English House sparrows ... a non-native, invasive species imported from England in the mid 1800s) into a clean, quiet environment. For those worried that the gel traps sparrows to die a horrible death, this is not the case. That said, they have to (loudly) remove themselves from the happy stickiness provided by Bird-B-Gone ... which seems to result in one-trial learning. The gel has worked well in our heretofore mild winter. A couple of tips. One, do not even think of using this product without having several pairs of disposable, latex gloves with you. (Once the first pair is 'polluted' by the glue, roll them off, and replace with a new pair.) Two, use the pressure-release tab on your caulking gun liberally. Three, have a hole-less plastic shopping bag with you to hold the caulking gun while negotiating a ladder. No matter how careful I was, the caulking gun got 'polluted' by the gel ... did I mention that the gel is sticky <g>. Have some individual paper towels, hanging out of a back-pocket. You will thank me. (Wipe once, fold the residue inside, crumple the towel, and throw it away immediately.) While costly, the improvement is priceless. (Buy an extra tube. It doesn't go as far as you will initially estimate.) March 8, 2016 Addendum. Well ... some 3 years later ... I had to add some of this sticky wonderfulness to several potential sparrow nesting spots yesterday. (Over the years, pollen and leaves had reduced the effectiveness of the original treatment.) Saturday, the day before yesterday, the sparrows told us that the time was right for the 'refresh.' Those of you whom enjoy trashy invasive vermin waking you up shortly before daybreak ... well you just go right ahead enjoying it. To reuse a line made famous on the Fox show, In Living Color, "Homey, don't play dat!" We'll continue to cherish the peace and quiet Bird B Gone MMTBG Transparent Bird Gel, 10-Ounce restored for us this morning. And all of you PeopleforEatingTastyAnimals types, there were some feathers in the remnants of the first application, but no corpses of dead birds. BTW. Re-using/emptying the partially used tube (remaining from the original application) was no problem at all. For three years that partially used tube had been on the shelf, inside a plastic bag. It had not even formed a skin at the nozzle! I've ordered a couple of more tubes so that if I need them, I'll have them on-hand.

Pulls off birds feathers!!!! Don’t buy
I put this product where I was trying to discourage robins from nesting on my front porch light. The product is so sticky that the birds wings and legs get stuck to their body so they no longer can fly and they will just die on the ground in a few days. I did not want to cause harm to the birds but this stuff glues their legs to their body as well as their wings if they get it on them. I cleaned up the product the best that I could and threw the rest away. It was sad to see what this did to the poor birds. Use something reflective instead that won’t harm these small creatures.

Easy to apply and effective!
Used Bird B Gone on the large chandelier that hangs in my courtyard to deter pigeons. It absolutely works. I have tried sonic deterrents and spray deterrents and the pigeons just kept coming back and trying to nest up there again within 1-3 days. I wasn’t sure what else to do, we were actually talking about removing the chandelier and reinstalling a can light, and then my wife found this stuff. I removed the cap, cut the nozzle, punctured the film inside the nozzle then slapped the tube in my caulk gun, climbed the ladder and layed a thin bead of this stuff anyplace on the chandelier where the birds could find purchase. Worked perfectly. It’s been 2 months and I have not seen any signs of the pigeons since. Easy to use. I think some people don’t realize there is a film barrier inside the nozzle that you must puncture before the product will dispense. If your caulk gun doesn’t have a long metal poker built into it for this purpose, just use a 3-4” long skinny screwdriver to puncture the film. Great product, easy to apply, and effective.

This Works! So Glad I Found This
This works! Listen. I struggled for a year with birds at my front door pooping on my arch, destroyed my ledge with their claws, and constantly having to bleach and clean up their toxic waste. I bought this last year and finally got an opportunity to spread. When I tell you they have not returned. Now for the people saying it’s harmful to the birds. Yes, it is because I see where it looks like one of their feathers got ripped off from where they like to hang out after I applied it. That’s really on them. Sorry. They are smart, and have not been back. I don’t know how long this lasts or if it needs to be reapplied after a while, but hopefully because that happened to one of them they pretty much know not to come around. Highly recommend this.

Effective But Be Cautious
This is so far a very effective product, but if you have any small birds that could land on the treatment area you need to be very careful with the amount you apply. To be fair, the product has wording on it that says it discourages pigeons and starlings and another label indicating that small birds can become fatally entrapped. I did not see any warnings about small birds on the website, only when I actually got the product. I applied what I thought was a reasonably small amount but soon found that a swallow had become trapped and couldn't get away. So I scraped the repellent down to just a very thin layer - really thin - and that seems to work. The surface is certainly tacky but there isn't enough gel that birds can't fly off or move their feet around. No more trapped birds and no birds nests - so far anyway! If I had known when I started what I know now, I would start with a very thin layer of gel, see how it works and then apply more only if really necessary.

Works great but remains gooey
Works great. I only gave it 4 stars because you would think it would dry solid. It doesn’t. It remains a gooey texture so it catches bugs and dirt and gets all over your hands and screen when removing that.
