This book was a lifesaver while writing my dissertation, and it continues to be an essential resource as I expand my analyses and plan future studies. I had taken a course on latent variable analysis, but it wasn't until I read this book that I really understood how confirmatory factor analysis worked, how to figure out which measurement model is best, and how to talk about what I had done in a clear and correct way. I felt like an expert in CFA after reading this book and using it to pattern my own analysis. It maps out all the steps and provides excellent code examples for a wide range of programs (with more focus on mplus, which is what I was using). I recommend this book to everyone I know who might possibly do CFA or structural equation modeling someday.If Dr. Brown wanted to write books on any other latent variable analyses, I would buy them in an instant.

Confirmatory Factor Analysis is extremely useful analytical technique, but it's not for the faint of heart. Timothy Brown has a number of years of experience as a researcher and as a professor, and provides a thorough explanation of the theory and context-rich examples in this book. Additionally, there is a website with datasets that the user can access to try out examples as an additional way to learn the material. This book is helpful for anyone who is interested in learning more about Confirmatory Factor Analysis.

Easily one of the best books in CFA. In the begining you might get a little bit anxious about going into the guidelines for fit assessment, but when you get there you already feel like having a very strong basis that the author provides through the begining of the book, It is really amazing.

This is a highly readable book on CFA. A professor recommended it to me when I was working on my dissertation and now I still refer to it regularly when I'm conducting CFAs. If you are a beginner or a seasoned professional - this book has what you need.

At last an unabridged book really dedicated to Confirmatory Factor Analysis with hands-on approach on how to use the most popular sotfwares. After a brief review of Exploratory Factor Analysis, is goes into every detail of CFA with examples that help. After having bought 3 other books, I finally got this one, the right one.

This book is easy to read with clear examples that are thoroughly explained. I learned CFA on my own and this book answered all the questions I had about CFA! What a buy!

Im weiteren Verlauf des Buchs werden die einzelnen Schritte zur Durchführung einer CFA und CFA im Gruppenvergleich als Test für Messäquivalenz/Messinvarianz sehr gut nachvollziehbar anhand von Beispielen mit Syntaxbefehlen dargestellt. Zudem bietet das Buch ausführliche Hinweise, worauf hinsichtlich der Voraussetzungen für eine CFA und bei der Interpretation der Ergebnisse zu achten ist. Des Weiteren beinhaltet es ein detailliertes Muster zur Beschreibung der Ergebnisse einer CFA (z.B. für Journalartikel). Es ist für Einsteiger in die CFA hervorragend geeignet und ist für Fortgeschrittene ein gutes Nachschlagewerk.

Vale lo que cuesta. Una obra clara y necesaria para adentrarse en el tema. No asustarse por el idioma. se entiende bien.

Complet et pratique : indispensable pour des AFE et AFC sérieuses et rigoureuses ! Des liens avec d'autres méthodes sont évidents type path analysis et autres Latent Class Analysis. Les fourchettes d'estimation de l'excellence de fit/ajustement des modèles ainsi que la signification de la qualité qu'ils permettent d'estimer est d'une grande utilité. Un achat que je ne regrette pas et que je recommande. Bonne lecture !
