Does the cargo container detach?

Yes it does. Also those red lines along the bottom flip out as legs so you can drive the truck out from underneath.

Does it make sounds and light up?

It’s been a while since we bought it for our Grandson, but I don’t think it does. None of the Bruder trucks that we bought him did as I remember, but Bruder was his absolute favorite trucks. They are built well with attention to detail.

Yes. There are a lot of moving parts on the truck. The container comes off the chassis and has operable doors. It is a fairly intricate toy- good for a 4 year old boy. We got the fire engine also (we have twins). Both were a hit.
