This has been a great addition to our at home gym. It has been nice for me as a beginner to working out, but my husband also uses it and has been consistently working out for over 20 years. This ultimately is all we need as it can be used for so many different exercises, from squats and lunges to chest presses and rows. It is compact and doesn’t take up much room. If my husband knows he will be out of town for a week at a time he takes it with him to use in the privacy of his hotel room so he doesn’t miss a day of his workouts. It is super powerful, it has a 150lb resistance smart cable. It is user-friendly - simple to use. I like that I am able to track my progress with the app. It comes with a range of accessories to enhance our workouts and so that all muscles can be targeted.

The Apollo board mini is a powerful exercise companion. Almost everything that I can do with free weights and a bar, I can accomplish with this compact machine. I actually feel like I can accomplish a lot more because I can work in core strength and leg exercises that I can’t do with my free weights. Factoring in all the resistances (weights) and resistance modes that the Apollo board has, there are many possibilities for use and ways it can grow with me as I gain strength. I really like having the ability to dial up the weight in a way that I never could before with free weights.The amount of equipment that would be needed to do the same would not be possible with the space that I have. There are numerous attachments, including a bar with attachment points at both ends, individual handles, ankle straps and a waist belt. I can use the Apollo board alone or in conjunction with my bench. I appreciate having the wireless switch to activate the resistance especially when I’m doing work with the bench because I can lay down and prepare myself before starting. It’s also like having a built in spotter, allowing me to use more weight when I exercise alone than I normally could with a heavy barbell. If you have your own favorite bars or attachments, those can work with this system as well. For example, I have some double pull handles that I like using. Each cable offers resistance up to 75lbs, which can be combined to achieve 150lbs total resistance for things like bench presses and squats. That’s huge! I like how much leeway it gives me personal growth in strength. The build quality feels robust and it is surprisingly portable to take anywhere. It would be great in something like an apartment space where storage was an issue. It can slide under my couch when I’m not using it. It is a fantastic machine.

Setup is easy. Just plug it in. If you plan to attach it to the wall, it comes with wall mounts and stencil to attach it to wall. It comes with handles that click away when you do not need them. The locking of the handles is very solid and high quality feeling. To turn on the unit, you flip the switch next to the power cord. The LCD turns on and the ropes retract. When you are ready for weight, you press the play button. The light turns red and you feel the force. There are 4 different modes. The modes allow you to feel resistance pulling and/or retracting. It comes with a waist harness, individual handles and ankle handles. You will learn to use your toe to turn the resistance on and off. What makes this product go above and beyond is the phone app. It connects through BT. It allows you to see the exact workout. It counts your reps. You select a workout like a peloton and start workout. When you press play, it moves to the next workout. It then connects with Apple health to keep track. The app is free. If you sign in, you get the full functionality. But you do not need to. Overall it is a great home workout for anyone. No need for a gym.
