Mmm yummy!
These are good value rather than buying individual bars at the supermarket and a good way to try out their range. Low in carbs, high in protein and vegan too! Pea protein is the higher quantity of its protein content with some soy following. No added sugar although they do use Xylitol as a sweetener which is low GI and no sugar spike. Overall tasty and good texture. Being high in plant proteins it does have a mild undertone of bitterness but I find it doesn’t detract from it overall. Even other plant proteins like hemp are mildly bitter to. It’s just the proteins natural flavour. I’d rather have Misfits than sugar loaded dairy filled confectionery any day. They’re helping me transition into having more vegan based foods. Oh and they’re a nice treat for my diabetic mum.

Definitely try the variety pack first
Oooh gosh, you really need to try the variety pack before you jump into any of the single flavour multipacks. Firstly, the other multiple glowing reviews? Be aware they’re coming from a place in comparison to other vegan protein products. Vegan protein bars can be so chalky and blah, and in comparison, Misfits are a cut above the rest. But if you chow down into one expecting to compare it to a regular choccie bar? You’re gonna be sorely disappointed. For what it is (vegan protein) it’s delicious. The texture if you’re not used to it takes a moment to get used to. Why I’d recommend the variety pack first? Another reviewer broke down the flavours and I went through the box expecting to agree with them, and their least favourites ended up being my absolute favourites. I loved the brownie and chocolate hazelnut. The white chocolate and peanut one was decent, I recommend you turn it “upside down” so the peanut comes as a burst of flavour after the chew of protein. I was excited for the two with caramel and ended up feeling pretty meh about them. I ate them, for sure, but they’re not what I’d reach for first on a sweaty afternoon. The raspberry and chocolate one? The flavour was so strong. I didn’t like the combo but I’m pretty sure that was personal taste. It was the only bar I chucked in the bin (and donated the second one, I’m not a monster.) Anyway, do try the variety pack first, don’t expect a choccie bar miracle, and do expect a solid and decent vegan protein offering that fits well in a gym bag to munch in the car and stave off a cheeky Nando’s when you’ve got good food at home.

They all taste the same and they're expensive
These all taste almost exactly the same, and compared to other bars they're expensive. They don't really taste of much, the only real positive is they are quite fudgy, but as I myself am not vegan or vegetarian, this isn't something that is as important, as there are nicer fudgy things out there.

best bar out there
my new favourite bars for now. Super tasty and incredible macros. Highly recommend. Not too sweet, and it doesn't have a nasty protein taste. Definitely buying more. Great snack for when you're craving sweets.

Cardboard flavored gum
Inedible. I have had a wide variety of protein products, both vegan and not. As a person with lactose intolerance, I try and go for non-whey. These are probably the blandest I have ever had. They taste like pure protein and it is a STRUGGLE. They are not the worst I have had, but I still will not be finishing them. Very disappointed. All protein products are chewy, but in this case it makes it near impossible to swallow. The chocolate coating adds little and is gone in seconds, leaving you to chew cardboard-flavored gum which leaves a powdery coating in your mouth and throat. Do not buy :(

Fit for my belly!
I love these misfit bars. This variety box has 4 types, all of which are delicious! My personal favourite is the white choc cookies n' cream. There were 3 of each and I think the cost is very good for 12, especially as these are plant based which often cost more than dairy protein bars. I like the texture of them, they're very soft on top with a slightly crunchy middle, which I really like, and they're not too sticky either which is good for me. Nutritionally, the 15g of protein average per bar is very good, higher than average compared to many other plant based brands. I like that they are very low in sugar, only 1-3g per bar, as most of the sweetener here comes from stevia. Salt content is almost non-existent. Carb levels are moderate which is fine as the focus here is primarily on the protein. Fibre in these are also really high, which makes this a good choice for a breakfast snack and general digestion, but I would advise eating only 1-2 of these a day max as the combination of high fibre and plant sweeteners could cause your bowels to be a bit overactive! Ingredients are good - a nice mixture of soy, peanuts, plant proteins and cocoa, plus additional fibres and flavourings which make for both good taste and good nutritional values. I bought these for a good vegan protein option and I'm very happy with them. It's also a bonus that they are gluten free. If you are allergic to soy or nuts, these unfortunately aren't for you, but luckily this isn't an issue for me. Overall, a great vegan protein bar. I like the taste, and the high protein content with very low sugar levels makes this a winner for me.

Honestly tastes of pure protein if you like that you’ll love it
These are the worst things I’ve ever spent my money on protein wise. They’re not even pleasant they’re just dry with some caramel consistency sauce in the middle. The flavour does not taste of what was described and the texture is awful not at all as advertised. The only mildly eatable one was the brownie one because it had a slight flavour profile of chocolate to take away from the protein but even then I had to eat it in 3 separate sittings. The only thing I can say to credit them is that there is a nice amount of variety and bars. The price is a little ridiculous but for a protein bar nowadays that’s about the price paid but for the flavour I would never again glad I was able to get a refund directly from Amazon . For anyone actually wanting soemthing that this bar is trying to be please get grenade ones they’re soft they taste nothing like protein it’s crazy how good they are and they have minimum 20g protein more if you get dif flavours and around the same calories as this less sugar. Just tastes like you’re eating a chocolate bar with grenade with this it tastes like you desperately need to hit protein goals and have to remind yourself about it .
