I had some algae and slime on the water surface in the skimmer. Based on the calculations I have A 1300 gallon pool. And I used 4 ounces for an aggressive treatment. Once a month I will Put 2 ounces to prevent. This product works and it works well. This won’t treat black algae as the black algae has a protective layer you’d have to scrape off the black algae. But geeen algae no problem. If you have black scrape it first, then pour this product in and vacuum the pool.

Helped my pool in 24 hours.

ATTENTION: this is a COPPER BASED PRODUCT, you only need this for special types of algae that are not cooperative with chlorine and brushing! BE CAREFUL, "RTFM" (read the manual)! If you do this, it will work for black algae, and takes about 2 weeks to start breaking it down. Otherwise you have to drain your pool, wait for the black algae to die, and then pressure wash or acid the black algae off. This stuff is MAGIC, just RTFM!

Edit: I may have been displeased with the product but the customer service was excellent! I’m not pleased with this. It just seemed to turn water blue but not kill algae. Won’t boy again. I haven’t 2 stars because it did slightly but not to the effect I expected .

I've been having trouble with my ingound pool this season with a lot of green algae. I've tried everything from testing the chemicals and adjusting them, shocking the pool over and over, and even draining the pool Of 11,500 gallons and changing the water. Within a week the pool was green again. I stumbled upon this algaecide and read the reviews and kept my fingers crossed. That was over a month ago and my pool is still clear. This is the longest it's gone without algae this season since I use this alga side.

Total waste of time, energy, and money. My shallow end was fine, but the deep end needed treatment. I poured the solution into the deep end as directed. I brush my pool every morning around 6:00 a.m. when my filter cleaning timer kicks on, and check it again in the evenings. Each day, the water looked worse instead of better. After 5 days of brushing and observing, this product actually made my pool conditions worse.

Works as described and lasted well over 90 days.

I use this in my pool all summer and it’s crystal clear. I put more in at opening then use a smaller dose once a week
