It fulfills its function.
The CNP Honey Lip Butter – Propolis Lipcerin 01 Original is a good lip product overall. I found the texture very smooth and comfortable to wear, and it does a decent job of keeping my lips hydrated throughout the day. The honey and propolis ingredients give it a nice natural feel. However, I wish it lasted a bit longer between applications. Still, it’s a solid choice if you want gentle, moisturizing care for dry lips.

Good lip mask for summer
I have very dry skin and lips, year round but especially in the winter. I’m always on the hunt for products that actually help my dry chapped lips heal. I’ve tried most of the popular lip balms, masks and lip oils that claim to help heal the driest of dry lips. There are plenty of ok products out there, and some real duds too, but very few spectacular ones that work well for chronically dry lips. This one is ok, verging on being really good. I’ve been using it every day for a week since I got it. It feels very hydrating and soothing when first applied. It’s thick and plush, and seems like it would help chapped lips. The issue is that it doesn’t last well on my lips, either at night or during the day. I have a few overnight lip treatments that I can still feel in my lips in the morning, and this isn’t one of them. Even so, I do feel like my lips are more hydrated and soothed when I’m using this, it just isn’t quite as long wearing as I’d want for treatment at night. It’s working ok for me now (in the summer) but I don’t think it would be enough in the cold dry winter.

Good for the lips, not great for the skin around them
Pros - So, I like the product. It feels great on my lips, it's heavy and thick, but not super sticky, and doesn't leave my lips hungover the next day (I don't wear it to bed, I'd have it everywhere). I wake up without chapping or having to exfoliate my lips. Not scented, or so mild that it's not abrasive to my nose, no apparent flavor. I don't notice a plumping sensation, which is good for me. It's shiny enough to add "something", but not so much that it's super noticeable or seems out of place if my hair isn't brushed and I'm in barn clothes. Cons - the jar is cute, with its screw up product, but obnoxious, as it's a fat little container with a narrow hole and it takes more effort than it could to not smear it all over my lips and surrounding area. Which is a HUGE problem, because the area near my lips has gotten irritated like it was trying to brew a pimple the few times I put it on carelessly. All the moisturized lips in the world aren't going to make a sore, swollen, red spot on my lips line ok, but if I don't get it on the skin, no reaction. The lid does seem to fasten securely, but I haven't tossed it in my purse to really test that. Overall - for me, it's just ok. I doubt I'll finish it, and I won't purchase another. It's costly compared to my "Holy Grail" and requires more care to apply than I care to spend on a lip moisturizer.

My New Favorite Lip Butter
It was love at first touch. I like everything about this lip butter. The design is really great, you just twist it and the perfect amount of lip butter comes out. You do not need to use your fingers to scoop it out, which I really dislike in many other brands. The texture is soft and gentle, and it glides on the lips beautifully. It feels so nice and moisturizing. I really love this one. After using it for the first time, I immediately ordered two more. I am using the Lemon one now, and I love it so much.

Obsessed!
I have full lips and live in a high desert and have constantly chapped lips no matter how much chapstick I lay on. I’ve tried many products over the years and this one is my favorite, much more effective than something I was using at double the price. Initially I thought id use it as an overnight treatment but am so in love with the texture, scent, and taste that I’ve grown to love using it all day. One application hydrates and keeps my lips smooth for many hours. One down side is it doesn’t have SPF so I have to be extra careful and remember to use a different product I have with SPF when heading into the sun as everything burns quickly here which worsening my chapped lips. I wish there was a version of this with SPF. But other than that this stuff is perfect. I will buy multiple next time so I can stash one all over so that I don’t have to remember to carry this around everywhere.

meh it's a buzzkill
I don't understand the hype over this lip butter. I was excited to try the CNP Honey Lip Butter. The promise of Manuka honey and propolis extract – both known for their antimicrobial properties – piqued my interest. Here's my breakdown and experience. Honey of a List, or Marketing Hype? Alluring Ingredients: Manuka honey boasts antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties, while propolis is a beehive resin with similar benefits. In theory, this combo could be a lip-healing dream team. But... Scrutinizing the Science: While research supports the general benefits of Manuka honey and propolis for wound healing and irritation, studies specifically on their effectiveness in lip balms, absolutely nothing about the feel, smell, or experience made me think Manuka was anywhere in the balm. I am actually kind of convinced it a gimmick. We use Manuka honey in this house weekly, and are big fans, I have zero reactions to it, but I did this. Ingredient Breakdown: The ingredient list prioritizes ingredients commonly found in petrolatum-based lip balms, including petrolatum itself (often referred to as petroleum jelly). While petrolatum is a great occlusive moisturizer, it doesn't have the same healing or repairing properties) as the advertised Manuka honey and propolis extract. Textural Truths: Balmy Bliss: The texture is smooth and slick, offering a good initial layer of moisture. Those who enjoy a classic Vaseline-like balm might find this appealing. It's honestly hard for me to believe this is nothing short of Vaseline in a fun and very expensive package. Night Shift Only?: While the ointment-like texture is great for nighttime use, it might feel a bit heavy for daytime wear under lipstick or for everyday touch-ups. Caveat Emptor: Price Point Ponderings: This lip butter falls on the pricier end of the lip balm spectrum. Considering the lack of published studies on the specific lip balm formula and its hero ingredients in this context, the price tag might be a turnoff for some. I Sensitive Skin Savvy: While fragrance-free, some users have reported sensitivity to the product -- I share in their experiences, it absolutely aggravated my upper lip in quite weird way. Have only had one other product do this, so I'm suspecting the quality is low. Patch testing is recommended, especially for those with very sensitive lips. In Conclusion: The CNP Honey Lip Butter offers a petrolatum-based, occlusive moisture layer, which some might find beneficial. However, the advertised Manuka honey and propolis extract appear lower on the ingredient list, leaving the healing or repairing properties in question. The price point might not be justified for everyone - I certainly wouldn't buy it again, nor recommend it.
