Very happy with this train. Compared to other trains by the same vendor, this one is remarkably faster and stronger!The tune it plays ("We Wish you a Merry Christmas") is quiet and pleasant, which when dealing with kid's toys is usually a good thing!That said, the motor being so strong also means it's rather loud. You can't hear the tune well over the motor. This can likely be fixed with some absorbent material (like tape) in certain places, or maybe some weaker batteries?For us, the quiet tune is just fine!

Our son loves this train! It goes forward and backwards and plays music!

This self-propelled engine has added enough spice to my grandchildren’s appreciation of their previously ignored old Brio train set that they haul out the Brio and play with it when visiting or when I bring the engine to them. Downsides: It’s slow. It’s unable to pull itself over steep overpasses. Cheap thrills. Still working.

We were impressed with the appearance and quality of this powered train. It’s quicker than the other similar trains, and is very durable- holding up well to two 2-year-olds not only playing with it on the wooden track but sending it across the tile down the hall! The sleigh with Santa and the additional freight car added to the fun. Fit perfectly on our wooden track. The motor is a bit noisy, made it difficult to hear the Christmas song it can play when you push a button. Even with being on most of the day, the batteries have lasted just fine. Glad we bought it and likely to buy some of the others in this line.

Didn't know it was battery operated - I was just looking for something he could put a 'guy' in - he absolutely loves it! (Granted, he has no other battery-operated toys.) It goes forward & back, & can play a song. Worked well for the (entire!) week he was here.

This train is slow. It has 3 buttons to go forward backward and to stop. Batteries seem to last for a month but my son hardly plays with it compared to other ones.

The media could not be loaded. The little motor in it is a little loud so it's hard to hear the Christmas music playing. The music plays for like 20 seconds and then you have to push the button again. It's a fast train and the batteries only last a few days (playing half the day) before you have to replace them. My toddler loves it and it's a great buy. Only negative thing about it is that it can't make it uphill and it goes a lot slower when you connect extra trains to it.

Bought two for my twins. The a wheel fell off one of them. Otherwise it works well.
