This is the best purchase ever! I use the lid as a skillet, often. Cast iron will last a forever! I've cooked roasts, steaks, bacon, and eggs in my new cast iron. Looking forward to replacing ALL my cookware with cast iron. Excellent even heat, no sticking problems, and very easy to use. It's perfect size to cook with for a small family. I personally love the dark color of cast iron. It's exceptional functionality is perfect - sauté vegetables, bake bread/cake, fry meats, mushrooms, eggs and more. You won't be disappointed!!!

The media could not be loaded. This Dutch oven pot is fantastic, especially considering the price! I love the large capacity, sturdiness, and even cooking. The lid which can also be used as a frying pan is a bonus. I used it the same day it was delivered, and it worked exceptionally well. Make sure to gently wash it, dry completely, heat up, and wipe down with olive oil prior to its first use. This information is provided in the instruction manual. Buy this!

This is my first piece of cast iron. Love that the lid is also a pan. Looked great and was definitely seasoned right out of the box. I rinsed with warm water, coated with some vegetable oil and made dinner. Nothing stuck and they were the best pork chops I've ever made. The finish is slightly rough but not the end of the world. After it cooled down to room temperature I washed it with only hot water and a dishcloth. Cleaned up great. I dried it and added another coat of oil. I'm looking forward to using this all the time.

I bought this for a wedding gift for a new bread maker. I was surprised at the weight and quality of the bottom and lid. The lid can also be used as a skillet. The silicon hot pods didn’t seem very durable though.

The surface of this pot is rough and porous, barely seasoned when it arrived. Not the same quality of the Lodge pan I have. I seasoned it once before baking sourdough in it, but still, the lid had tiny rust spots from the steam of the sourdough. I scrubbed them off and reseasoned the lid again. I have not had rusts since. I will not directly cook liquid food in this pot, but it is perfect for sourdough - heavy, good seal, and cheap (so I don't feel bad heating it repeatedly in the 500-degree oven).

Good heavy cast iron. It comes ready to use. Used it to bake sourdough bread. Works great.

This Dutch oven rusts easily. It also doesn't look pre-seasoned. I had to bake this in the oven for one hour before first use. It's also really rough inside. I hope it does improve, else I'll be returning it.
