Really impressed with this Homder digital voice recorder. The recording quality is clear and picks up voices well, even in a classroom or meeting. It’s easy to use, and the voice activation feature is very helpful. The battery lasts a long time, and the 8GB storage is more than enough for lectures and notes. Also nice that it can be used as an MP3 player. Overall, excellent value for money and very reliable 👍

Small so you can put it in your pocket. Records everything so clear. Has many recording options and good memory size. Recommend

I previously used a Sony ICO-PX240. This used rechargeable AAA cells that I had to take out, charge and re-insert. While doing this, the date and time were lost, and it was a fiddly job to re-enter them. So a rechargeable lithium on this new recorder is a big improvement. I can believe the claims for running time before recharging. This new recorder has a strong metal body. Rather too many buttons to remember, but they are clearly labelled, some on the back of the case, which is good. However, reviewing recordings was much easier on the old Sony than on the new one. Forward/Back buttons could be used to page through the recordings, each identified by a large number. Keep the button down, and it went fast through each recording, sampling a few words between each skipped gap. Good for finding a section of recording that you could remember making. The new one just displays a horizontal bar, which maps onto ALL recordings made so far. You can Forward/Back but there is no large number display. There maybe a way you can change this in System, but I could not find it in the instruction book, and display of recording number is in 4-point, virtually unreadable. And no fast-talk by holding the button down. If you are a student, who transfers the day's recordings to computer file (automatically named by date and time), this may not be important to you. You can then quickly use the mouse to try each recording in turn. You need to remember to record the recording-number by voice, before you record content of that recording. And you can lie in bed and play back the days recordings one after the other, all automatically. After transfer, plug into your computer, copy the day's recordings, then delete them on the recorder, from the computer screen For most purposes, you will need playback software which "fast-talks" in one way of another (perhaps by sampling between each 3 word chunk and the next say 30 seconds away). I am sure that you can find such software on the Web, probably free. You can of course double click on the bar illustrating the recording length, to make big jumps between sample play-backs. If you just want to make a recording, and follow it by another, then the recording number is displayed in large readable font. Alternatively you can play that recording back, before making another under the next available number.

Have had this voice recorder for a week or 2 now and if you're looking for a small simple to use and all round great quality voice recorder then this is more than enough. Ease of use- Extremely easy to use is no different to any of the recorders is this price range a simple flick of a switch powers on and another flick of the recording switch starts recording it really couldn't be anymore simple than that. Forwards and backwords buttons to scroll through recordings which also if held down will fast forward and rewind. Build quality- Great build quality, feels professional and looks great too. Recording quality- I have used this to record phone calls due to a personal matter and you don't realise just how handy these little recorders are, i know that everytime i press record it's doing its job and i can focus on the conversation I'm having. The recording quality its great and so is the built in speakers to listen back to recordings but if you were to be using this to record lectures or business meetings you can plug the device into a laptop or computer and play the recorded files through the laptop speakers if the audio from the recorder is not loud enough for you. Battery life- I have not charged this device, it had come with full charge and i have used it on 2/3 conversations all over 15mins and it still has full charge. Overall a handy little device that does what it says and in my opinion is no different to the other voice recorders which are £10 more. I'm not an amazon reviewer nor anything to do with the company of the device, just enjoy leaving honest reviews for products that are great value and do what they say.

really neat unit, very good for what I use it for, simple to use and very good price

at first i noticed that the stickers were back to front but it’s simple to use so that wasn’t an issue as it was just for myself … it started off amazingly , the audio is great and picks up everything with good quality even if a tv is in the background, i was able to record 7-8 hours without touching it and without it turning off. after a week of use for some reason the memory is full after 3 hours/ it turns off after 3 hours. if you don’t needs longer than 3 hours then this product will probably be perfect for you, but as i need this for longer and to be reliable i am sending back to buy a different one. i hope this helps!

Complete waste of money - purchased to record clients for my study, but unable to load the recordings onto my laptop. I have tried every cable, and absolutely nothing works. Save your money and buy something - anything other than this. Amazon can't or won't help.
