This book should be in every Christian’s library!!! Andrew Murray is my favorite. It’s deep, it’s full of scripture, it’s challenging. I’ve studied this 3 times already & doing it again in September with my Life group. Can’t wait!!! Highly recommend this amazing book.

Andrew Murray was and continues to be a tremendous blessing to the Body of Christ. This book is an essential read on the subject of humility.

I have read several books by Andrew Murray, and all of them were edifying, challenging, and motivating. But personally (only my opinion), I think Humility is his best book. Each chapter is short and discusses various topics related to humility, while short it is deep and thought provoking. I did not know how important was the virtue of humility until I read this book in high school, and now I am 52 years old and still indebted to this book as I continue to be challenged by this book. One thing is sure: Pursuing humility is not a joyless journey of faith, but an exceedingly joyful one as John the Baptist said, "The friend of the bridegroom, who stands and hears him, rejoices greatly at the bridegroom's voice. Therefore this joy of mine is now complete. He must increase, but I must decrease" (Jn. 3:29-30 ESV). And for this endeavor, Andrew Murray has done well for His church. Highly recommended.

Best Book on Humility

The is not the original version of Murray’s book, but has been edited “with updated language” which some readers may find more accessible. Those who have read the original may here find some of the edges of Murray’s language slightly dulled. The author used KJV which has here been replaced with the NIV. One other change that is regrettable is that the author made additional notes on three particular chapters which were originally included at the end of the chapter; one senses that the author welled up with more to say after seeing the first printing (Note A in chapter one is a barn burner!). But in this version those notes are relegated to the back of the book without even an asterisk to indicate their absence, and are not available in the context as Murray intended. Unfortunately, the other version available on Amazon (tree on the cover) has some sloppy typos, but I still prefer it. I might give this one to a young reader. If I had one book in addition to the Bible on a desert island, Murray’s little jewel on humility would be it. But the original version has a bit more tooth and less butter. That said, for those who need a simpler version, this is still a very useful book.

A very important subject that every christian should read. Short and to the point, very well written out. A book I will continue to keep referring back to.

A little gem of a book. If you are serious about your Christian faith and life, you should read and apply this.

This book is eloquently written teaching the average Christian how to truly serve God and what his or her faith should look like in pursuing the Almighty. This is something every believer should read to truly equip his life into living a full and powerful existence experiencing the love of God.
