Very nice flip flops if the strap is adjusted right.
I was going to return these as there was very little adjustment available to tighten the straps and they kept slipping off my feet as walked but I found out that I had adjusted the fit totally wrong. I kept adjusting the tightness of the straps thinking that if I made them tighter they would stay on better. WRONG! Instead of tightening the straps you need to loosen them up, slide your feet in so your toes are as in as far as they can go and still be in the toe box area and THEN tighten the straps. These have a VERY spongy feel to them especially in the heal area and if your adjustment of the straps is correct the foot pressure will drive your feet forward and the pressure will cause your heals to correctly sink into the heal area and this helps keep the flip flop on. Once I figured out what to do, the flip flop fits nicely and these are VERY comfortable to wear. I developed a bruised metatarsal by walking a long distance in hard, thin flip flops and these flip flops are well padded in the toe box area and I'm sure they will aid in my recovery as opposed to having to where shoes with a metatarsal pad.

Why I hate these, and will keep wearing them.
I learned that I have hallux rigidus (aka arthritis at the base of the big toe). My podiatrist says I have to wear shoes from now on, always. I work out of my house and only wear shoes when I go out. I really do not want to wear shoes all the time nor in the house constantly. I also do not want to limp around and, as I have come to learn, continue to exacerbate the toe joint and make it worse with each step.Enter these Orthotic Flip Flops. I'm a week into wearing them and while I am not a fan of how tall they are, I understand that they need to be constructed as they are. What I'm feeling now at the end of the day is the same slight pain (discomfort is a better word) that I feel at any time of any given day -- as opposed to (pre-flip-flops) what is sometimes extreme pain, mostly at the end of the day. They work. I hate that have to wear something on my feet always, but these flip flops are a nice compromise. They are comfortable, well made, soft and are a good fit as advertised.

Better than anticipated
Reading the positive reviews on these sandals as to their effectiveness with alleviating the pain of plantar fasciitis, I found they did not let me down. The support in the design of the arch and the heel cup, along with the cushioning of the sole, gave me an immediate reduction of pain that had plagued me for four months. I wore them all week while on vacation at the beach and by my return home the pain had been reduced by 90%!

Comfortable
I developed a small lump on the bottom of my foot and the Skechers flip flops I own help cushion the bump but are relaxed fit and my foot slides out.I like that these flip flops have a thick sole and footbed. The top of the footbed does feel like it massages the foot somewhat. I would have liked a slightly softer footbed but it does help with the bump. One of the things I really like about the sandals is the adjtable Velcro strap and the thickness and padding of the straps. Another nice feature is when the footbed gets wet, your feet don’t slip out. And they do not slip if the floor is wet.I have been wearing these every day and have worn them at a pool without slipping on the pavement or my feet slipping out of them.I recommend these.

Verrrry comfortable...
As a prerson who has had podiatry issues for years and weighing c. 280. These were found to be very supportive and comfortable. The straps seem to be some type of material with integrated leather. And they are adjustable. A welcome surprise as I didn't recall that mentioned in the ad. Lastly, the shoebed and sole are adequately dense though not extremly thick in size. This makes for comfortable walking, even on surfaces like loose gravel or pebbles. Ambulation on smooth surfaces is even more comfortable. For my use, it should be a while before these wear out. But when they do, I'll get these again. No hesitation.

Just Make Sure You Really Want/Need The Extra Cushion of a Recovery Sandal
I really wanted to like these flip flops but I just found them too spongy and that they felt like walking on marshmallows. They are very well constructed and attractive, but I won’t be using them as my primary sandals. I didn’t return them and am still giving them 5 stars because they are exactly as described in the Amazon ad. If you really have foot issues and need a super spongy sandal then these will meet your needs. I bought a size 10 and they fit me perfectly. I ended up ordering a pair of WHITIN waterproof flip flops which I love and highly recommend (I also posted an Amazon review for them).

Like walking on a air filled bladder. So nice!!
Don't wait. Buy them now. Thank me later.Don't go by what Amazon tells you about sizing...order the size you normally wear.I have foot neuropathy and it kills me to walk, but if I'm wearing these I can walk a lot with no pain.

Heels are to soft on pupose?
I want to love these, but I just can't. The heels are too soft after wearing them for a couple of weeks. When I walk in them, I feel like I want to fall back; when I stand in them, I can feel my heel sinking in. The arch support is excellent, and I've tried the adjustment which is a nice feel. Excellent grip on your foot and comfortable at the toes, but I cannot escape from the heel sinking. The fall back doesn't help with recovery or just putting them on to walk across the house. I'll keep trying them but there may be a heel issue with the one's I have or maybe it's intentional. Will give it a bit more time or they are going to be a return.
