Very good Frequency Response (4 Port Audio Splitter AUX-104)
Calling this an audio splitter only partly describes what this is. It is really a distribution amplifier with independent amplifiers for each port. The gain is 1 which is intended (what you put in is what you get out). It does not have any volume or tone controls which is actually good for the intended use. If you simply put "Y" cable splitters in an audio output to supply signals to two or more devices, your signal level drops for each extra load you add. This buffer/distribution amplifier solves that problem. I measured the frequency response for each of the four amplifiers. They are virtually identical. The -3dB points are about 15Hz to something greater than 26kHz. The -1dB points are about 30Hz to something greater than 26kHz. At the high end some of the 0.5dB drop-off shown in the plot was due to my test setup. So, it is actually better than shown. There was about a 0.5dB insertion loss which is no problem. Very minor issues are that the front panel red LED is overly bright, and I wish the manufacture used the same slightly larger case as they used on their 8 Port to 1 audio switch. That would have allowed stacking more attractive. Perhaps some mounting brackets (and threaded holes on the sides) to allow stacking would be nice. I have three of the 8 to 1 port switches plus this Audio Switch box stacked. A simple power ON/OFF switch would have been nice.

defective or junk!
Causes a loud "popping" noise in speakers when power is turned off or on via amp or unit its'self. Also causes a low level hum around 30hz to be present in the subwoofer. A real sound killer. I'm going to return the unit, and just stick with the cheap but proven and tried old school rca splitter.

Makes loud extraneous noises on simple operations like mute/unmute
First of all, I am a bass freak. So my objective in purchasing this device was to distribute the subwoofer channels on my Yamaha RX-A3070 receiver to 3 separate subwoofers (2 in front, 1 in back). The distribution works well, and the sound quality is just what I was looking for. However, there is a serious drawback: Regardless of volume setting, any receiver switching of inputs or even muting/unmuting, all 3 subwoofers produce a very loud thump, for no obvious reason. This never happened when the subwoofer was connected directly to the receiver. Given the fact that I'm already in the doghouse for too much bass, I'm pretty sure I'm going to get some serious complaints from my co-inhabitants if I keep this thing. Hopefully, the manufacturer will read this and make a suggestion as to how I can minimize this nuisance.

suited my needs perfectly
I needed to split the RCA output from an old Apple Airport base station into several channels for small individual class D amplifiers on a home music system I installed. This fit that need perfectly. Unit is small, well built and doesn't noticeably add any distortion or coloration to the signal that I can hear. Does what I need it to do without any additional bells and whistles and at a great price.

Unit failed but seller was great!
I would strongly suggest not buying this splitter. I received and installed 3 days ago and everything was fine until this morning while listening to music, a loud bang went off. It scared me to death. I suddenly noticed I lost all sound in my right channel. After trouble shooting, I found the splitter had blown a channel in its internal amplifier. Very lucky it did not do any damage to my vintage system. It sounded like a shotgun when it blew even with my main preamp volume turned down. I'll stick to y-cables from now on. Edit: I am bumping my rating to a 3 star because the seller reached out to me and offered a full refund hassle free and that means a lot. I understand things happen and it's not the sellers fault that there was a defect.

No sound *edit: return easy
I had an issue with the unit sent to me. It would not put out any noise from the speakers, no matter how many were connected. You could hear the faintest sound if you got real close and strained to listen. However, the seller was kind enough to refund my money with no hassle, which is why I raised the stars.
