I put this knife on display because of its stunning detail and - for a pocket knife - beauty. I investigated Durand and this appears to be a Real, Very Well Finished, Laguiole from - you guessed it - Laguiole, France.

Expected better.
When closed, the tip of the blade isn't completely covered in the slot, so the tip is exposed and cuts your hand when you reach for it in your pocket. Crummy Quality assurance. 50$ SOG is way better.
