So...I love this stuff. Way too much. It's also getting trickier to find locally, so pleased it's available here. I drink it straight and also as a key ingredient in my iced tea (recently gave up soda in an effort to cut down on sugar, so trying to only drink a couple straight glasses of this a week). I don't like plain iced tea (sorry!) so 8 ounces or so of this, in a quart water bottle of iced tea, means I get less sugar for me.But it's pretty, and I like that it's not a harsh lemon flavor, without being too sweet.I don't love that the price seems to be steadily increasing, but I'll live with it...whining all the while, but still...

This is a good thirst quenching drink mix. We have used this for years.

In an effort to reduce drink packaging brought home from the grocery store, I started using the Country Time 'on the go' single serve powder packets bought here on Amazon 10 boxes at a time. Got used to them, but found these and thought that they would be much more economical than the on the go packets (which they should've been) but came up against a conundrum instead. See, the thing is, with the use of even twice as much powder from the bulk cans featured here as opposed to the amount contained in each individual on the go packet, I find that it's hard to achieve the same flavor. And it's not so much the flavor as much as it is the 'zing' that the packets give and that one equates with the basis of lemonade. By zing I refer to the tartness of lemon that you just can't get from the bulk powder: that certain je ne sais quoi, that makes lemonade versus lemon flavored drink. The products are so different that I wonder that they're made by the same company The expiration dates and the packaging on this product are all in line with what I think of as a Country Time product, and while these are sold by an outfit called 'Global Basics' I don't know if it's just a distributor or an imitator. It may be that Country Time formulates its 'on the go' packets differently from this bulk mix, but whatever the case, the on the go mix is by far(!) a closer experience to the canned lemonade product that I grew up with.

The can had a puncture hole on the bottom which spilled a little into the packing materials. However, I taped it up and it's ok. Yes, this is way overpriced and I don't trust the source here, but I don't intend to consume it. Just look at the ingredients...nasty. And no lemon whatsoever. It's basically garbage but it works great in the dishwasher. Better than Jet Dry chemicals. A scoop per load does the trick.
