Telephone English Pack: Inludes phrase bank, audio CD and role plays.

Well, this book seems to cover all the telephone situations a customer service or sales liaison office can come across. It has included situations which even I had forgotten about. However, this books needs to be supplemented with others to support aspects of the English language, to help develop a client's English, grammar, tenses, etc. However, it will be my first choice for any future courses with people who have to be "good on the phone" in English. Could be used for clients already living and working in the UK as well as those world wide.

useful clearly written book with a cd rom for the oral exercises. Have found this good with both adult and teenagers alike and I just converted the CD to Mp3 and put it on my i-pod and phone for easy access. I have used it 1 to 1 and in small groups with equal success. The useful phrases list is a good hand-out and I would recommend this to anyone teaching adults and teenagers. I'm going to buy some of the other titles too.

The product was advertised as coming with an audio CD, but there wasn’t one with the book when it arrived. As a result, the book was useless! Very disappointing and extremely dishonest!

I bought it for my sister to learn how to communicate on phone. It is good for intermediate level and also the price.

This book is a great resurce for those who want to improve their telephone skills! It was a good choice to buy it!!!

Ciao, sono insegnante d'inglese e traduttrice, uso questo libro insieme all'E-Mail English per insegnare inglese nelle aziende e lo trovo molto ben fatto, ben strutturato, con esercizi tutti incentrati sulle telefonate e CD audio. I miei alunni hanno già imparato un sacco e ne sono entusiasti e io non devo preparare quasi niente per le lezioni, perché il libro è già completo. Lo abbino a un buon libro di grammatica - English File A2/B1. La maggior parte degli esercizi sono audio di telefonate vere e proprie, quindi aiuta tantissimo a imparare a parlare al tel in inglese. Non avevo mai trovato un libro talmente buono e specifico per l'inglese, lo consiglio sia a insegnanti che alunni! Ottimo! È adatto a partire da un livello A2, altrimenti sarebbe troppo difficile. I miei alunni hanno un livello B1.

イギリスの出版社なのでイギリス英語による音声です。 この本が役に立つと思われるのは、例えば海外からの電話の取り次ぎを急に頼まれたときではないでしょうか。 俗に言う中学英語がある程度わかっているならば、この本のはじめの数ページを繰り返して身につければ 対応できるようになると思います。 私は電話の対応をしたことがなかったので、このようにして覚えました。 日本語でいうところの「少々お待ち下さい」とか「おつなぎ致します」とかそういう表現が考えなくても出てくるように、 付属のCDでシャドウイングしたり、ぶつぶつ独り言のように練習したりしました。 ただCDも電話対応を越えて普通の会話になってしまっているところもあります。 取り次ぎの次の段階はもう普通の英会話ですよね。
