Great unit, works well, especially for sliding windows
This is a great aircon unit that seems to do the job well, though the poor weather means that I've not yet been able try it in sweltering heat. At about 3 feet high it's slightly taller than I expected, but it has a fairly small footprint, and wheels easily out of the way when not in use. It very quickly cooled the living room to the temperature I set.The controls are simple and easy to access. The dehumidifying option is a bonus. there is a drainage hole for that to which you can attach the supplied pipe, plus another drainage hole at the bottom for if the internal tank becomes full. I've not used this option though, so the tank should stay empty.Although you can hear it even on the low setting, the unit is not excessively noisy. One slight problem is the supplied adjustable window plate. This allows you to adjust it to size, then slide an open window up to it, to form an oblong seal. The hole in the plate allows you to attach the flexible hose from the aircon unit to the window, thus drawing the warm air to the outside. This is fine if you have sliding windows. My windows are hinged to open outwards. While it is still possible to use it, there is nothing to fix the plate in place. You have to hope that your window is stiff enough to stay in place without being blown open or the plate falling out. Alternatively you can just hang the hose out of the window. Either way, there is a triangle of free space at the top and bottom of the window where air can circulate back into the room. It may be possible to cobble together some kind of seal using triangular sheets of card or plastic, but it's not ideal. The unit came very well-packaged, though it is very heavy, so care is needed when unpackaging. Also, note that the cardboard packaging does not have a cardboard base, so with a bit of careful cutting of the tape, you may have an easier job than I did of unpackaging by simply lifting the whole of the cardboard box up off the unit.In summary, a great unit at a good price that will help us to keep cool if summer ever arrives!

Good quality and great value Air Conditioning Unit
The media could not be loaded. Firstly a warning, this unit although compact, is very well made and therefore quite heavy. After struggling to lift from the box I found the exterior cardboard packing had no base, so cut the straps at the bottom and lift the packaging off the unit, much easier! The unit is very well constructed and compact and is also mobile being on wheels. The exhaust duct and fittings are equally well made giving confidence that this will have a very long lifespan.Attaching the joints to the duct is straightforward as is the attachment to the window partition. The window partition is designed for a sliding window but functions as well with a traditional opener.Don't forget to leave the unit 24hours before operating to allow the refrigerant to settle. Then it's all systems go!Again operation either by remote or the unit keyboard could not be easier.Cooling is instant, and even on low speed setting the output could be felt some 15 feet away across the lounge by my wife. Most impressive. In fact my wife complained she was getting cold but a change in direction of the air output solved that. Once desired temp has been achieved the unit goes into "rest mode" ready to kick in again when temp rises. This was purchased to solve the heat issue during the summer of a very well insulated bungalow, but also has the added benefit of being a dehumidifier and fan.Very confident that this will solve an issue which we have suffered with for some time.

Satisfied
Take very short time to lower the room temperature and the packing is sturdy. Wheels attached at the bottom facilitate moving around. The only downside is a little bit noisy.

Excellent cooling
The media could not be loaded. I got this unit just in time for the mini heatwave and I have to say I'm really happy with it. It took me about 10 minutes to get it up and running, and the cooling effect was noticeable straight away. My living room was 23C when I started it, and it only took about 20 minutes to get the room down to 21C. This is definitely going to get a lot of use this summer! The louvres at the front are adjustable so you can direct the airflow wherever you want. The air is really cool so I recommend aiming it away from you otherwise you will get cold before the room does! It's fairly quiet as far as air conditioning units go, but you will notice that it's on. It does have two speed settings and is obviously quieter on the lower setting. My biggest worry was that it would be awkward and unsightly to install it to my sash windows. I live in a conservation area so I was also worried about how it would look from the outside, but as you can see it's barely noticeable at all. It came with all the parts needed to install and the whole process took less than 10 minutes. Just make sure you unbox it and leave it upright for 24 hours before plugging it in to make sure the internal liquids get a chance to settle. It also works as a dehumidifier which will come in very handy during the damp and cold months. The remote control is very handy too!Absolutely five stars, and I feel ready for whatever heat the summer will throw at us.

Ineffective Cooling and Noisy Operation
I had high hopes for this 9000 BTU portable air conditioning unit, but it turned out to be a big disappointment. It barely cools the room, even on the highest setting, and struggles to make any noticeable difference in temperature. Additionally, it’s incredibly noisy, making it hard to concentrate or sleep when it’s running. For the price, I expected far better performance. I wouldn’t recommend this unit if you’re looking for effective and quiet cooling.
