As a non-native Floridian I would not like to look like a leather handbag by the time I’m 40yrs old. I take this thing with me everywhere in by backpack. It doubles as an umbrella for those pop-up rain showers. It’s a life saver when you feel like your sunscreen isn’t doing its job. It’s not heavy, easy to open, good quality, good value, easy to use. Pick the size that you’ll actually use. Hot girl summer means you protect your skin. Word. Ain’t nobody trying to get that skin cancer.

Works against the sun really well. The size is as advertised and good quality. It’s not a heavy duty umbrella against wind, but most umbrellas are not unless they are made for that purpose. This one is advertised for shade against the sun and it does that well. It opens with a push of a button and is convenient.

This was one thing we would never leave the hotel without in our two weeks in Japan during August. The difference was night/day. It's a bit heavy but it not only blocked the visible sun but also all of the infrared heat whereas normal rain umbrellas would provide shade but radiate the infrared right through. It was very sturdy and while it will flip inside out in wind, it always came right back to shape. The auto-open worked really nicely. So almost perfect if it weren't a little heavy. Ones we saw in Japan were 2-3x more expensive to get a lighter version.

It works great as a sun umbrella! It's a thick material and the reflectiveness keeps the sun from peeking through, great for being outside and not wanting to get sunburnt! I bought this as sun protection and not as rain umbrella so I can't say how it works in the rain, but I imagine just as well as any other umbrella. It's easy to open and close and has a little button, and it's compact when folded so good for putting in a purse and carrying with you.

Great in the sun but the wind can make it fling inside out so it’s best to use on a still day not great in the wind but does block the sun very well

Conveniently small size and gets the job done. However, the strap weakens and eventually stops closing. Also, it's not designed to last too many daily uses nor is it as "wind-proof" as the description says (it blows inside-out quite often). Still, a great way to stay cool.

Perfect for sunny / rainy Florida! Keeps the sun rays from beating down while also keeping you dry from rain. Great product!

Piece of junk. Already broken after six weeks. Will not open or close all the way. Push button does nothing.

Compré este paraguas para llevarlo en el bolso y protegerme del sol, y la verdad es que estoy muy contenta. Tiene un tamaño justo para cubrir bien y la protección UV se nota, especialmente en días muy soleados. Me encanta que sea automático para abrir y cerrar, es súper práctico cuando vas con las manos ocupadas. Además, es ligero y no ocupa mucho espacio. Lo he probado en días con viento y se ha comportado bastante bien, no se da la vuelta como otros que he tenido antes. En resumen, un paraguas que cumple con lo que promete, práctico y resistente. Lo recomiendo si buscas algo para protegerte del sol y que aguante el viento sin problemas.

This really works and is well made. I was doubtful how effective it would be and also unsure of whether I would feel too awkward to walk around using it. I suffer with heat related migraine and bought this feeling skeptical. Let me say as the scorching sun hit 30c I didn’t care and this was amazing. Instant shade and sun protection plus it’s wide enough to cover arms as well as head. A little heavy but that’s because of the robust build and you don’t feel it when it’s up. Really pleased.
