Retro look, have to learn shortcuts to make up for simplicity - UPDATE, I HATE
UPDATE: I have had this keyboard for less than 3 months and I am throwing it out if I can't return it. Not only is there a delay when typing, but it now misses half of what I'm typing now! I am constantly retyping and backspacing because it is so awful. DO NOT RECOMMEND. I have wanted one of these for a long time; this one is seriously retro! The deep keyboard of yesteryear, but with modern tech! It's not pretty - it's reminiscent of the old keyboards we used in the 90s, but I like the feel of the keys, and I love that it's so much more ergonomically comfortable. There are removable feet you can put on the back side for a bit of an incline - they attach via magnet, so it couldn't be simpler. It also comes with a 3rd foot for each section, that you could put on the inner side (closest to where your thumbs go) - I believe the intent is that the keyboard will be slightly raised in the center for even more ergonomic support, but that is a FAIL for me, as it makes each section rock side to side, so I opted not to use that. I had no issues setting up with my MacBook (using an adapter for USB port). The key that has the windows symbol on it is equivalent to the apple key. It also came with an extra CapsLock key and what looks like a person dapping (you know, the move the kids were doing a few years ago where they have a hand on their forehead and another hand up at an angle?) Silly, but fun. My problem is, there are no arrows, no volume up/down, no “home” or “end” buttons - you have to learn all these random shortcuts since there are no extra keys, as the keyboard is literally modeled after an old-fashioned keyboard. I am constantly pulling out the manual to figure out shortcuts that don’t make sense to me (IE: Function + N for ‘End’). The shortcut to print needs to use the left side apple/windows key (does not work using the right side one). It’s not efficient for me and made me realize how much I use all the extra keys that are on modern keyboards. My wrists are currently adjusting to this angle, as I had been using a flat Apple keyboard and I definitely recommend a wrist rest. The $168 price point seems a little steep when I also have to learn all the shortcuts. I’d go with a modern split keyboard with all the bells and whistles for this price. The jury is still out on whether I will continue to use this for much longer (I’m on day 3). Yes, I’m a Vine reviewer. NO, I am not paid or bribed to only give good reviews. This is a true and honest review after trying out a product that I chose. It is not automatically sent to me; I choose from available items based on my family’s needs.

Super comfy
This is my first split board and it took less getting used to than I expected. Love that the feet are magnetic and customizable as to which you want to use. If you screw it together so it's one board there is a little bit a give so you will have to be a tad careful but it's not too bad. I will say I thought the linear reds were kind of icky out of the box. I love a good linear switch but these are kind of mushy and I don't like them at all so I'll be swapping those out. Also worth noting that the directs told me I needed to plug in the right one if they were connected and that's not true for me, mine only works in wired mode with them connected if I plug in the left 🤷♀️🤷♀️🤷♀️

Too complicated
This keyboard is way too complicated for an average user. I get that they are trying to evolve the keyboard design but I think they went too far. Don't get me wrong, they used quality materials to manufacture this unit. The delivery is just all wrong in my opinion. More like a gadget fad. Like the ergonomic keyboard, it disappeared.

First alice style keyboard
This keyboard has A LOT of functionality buried in it which you don't see at first glance. I haven't played with all the bells and whistles yet so I'm primarily going to focus on the comfort, which I thoroughly enjoy. I've used split keyboards before, but not one quite as "ergonomic" as this one and I really like it after taking about a week to get use to it. The thing I miss the most is the easily accessible arrow keys. I know they can be accessed via shortcuts, but I haven't gotten that far into the weeds yet of learning how to use this keyboard. Other than that, the ability to place both halves wherever I need and the layout does make for a very comfortable typing experience, especially for the pinky. I'm looking forward to digging into the other features now that I know I find it comfortable to type on!

5 Stars
I love the design of this keyboard, it has the retro look with new techs like Macro Function Mode which make the keyboard is programmable to create key binds. This keyboard has hight quality PBT double keycap. It also has magnetic rubber stands to rise the keyboard up to work better with wrist rest. I go with Silent Red Switches, which are amazing silent and feel good to type on. If you dont like the split layout, you can easily connect them with provided screws. Overall, this is a good product and I think it is worth the price.
