Having used electric and v-bladed sharpeners, I've been looking for something better than the v-blade, which seem to lose effectiveness quickly with use, and the electric sharpeners that are hard to get a consistent pitch with. I found the rotating roller to be a great replacement for the v-bladed sharpeners. For the extra room it takes to sharpen a blade, it more than makes up for in producing a very sharp, even blade. Great for keeping your chef knives razor sharp and ready to slice.

Honestly I'm at 4.5 on rating. It's fantastic for a kitchen knifes and sharpens great. The one downfall is smaller knifes or pocket knifes are hard to to get it to hold right. But, if you go super slow it can be done. Other than that medium and bigger knifes go super fast and get a sharp edge which is the main reason for getting it. Great value for the price.

Works pretty well, even for a beginner. I'm sure I'm not doing something right but all my knives came out perfectly sharp just like they were brand new! I'm hoping it's something I'll get better at with practice but even still it was a pretty quick and easy process. All my knives are now able to cut through the edge of a paper like butter!I do wish it had come with the case and stuff like the pictures and a few reviews had shown. I guess it'll just be stored in the box for now.

A purely manual labour for sharpening implements. But, if you are like me, and like a quality finish through a good effort, this product is great.The only thing I cannot figure out, is the use for the wax.Having said that, I recommend this one for those afficionados liking to do the work for themselves.

I've purchased many knife sharpeners over the years, but this one truly works. It's very user-friendly and effectively sharpened my chef knives, which were in poor condition. I'm so impressed that I'm now looking for anything else I can sharpen!
