Grandson, almost 16, thanked me repeatedly for this game that he plays regularly with a friend.

The TERRAIN PACK expansion is overlooked by most players, but it is a necessary expansion that allows one to build our own scenarios and recreate scenarios from the front as can be found online in the manufacturer's website. For example, if you want to set up a famous scenario, namely HEDGEROW HELL which happens to be out of print, you can still set it up with two (2) copies of this TERRAIN PACK expansion and following the guide or PDF map from the website. WHAT'S IN THE BOX? 66 flat terrain tiles 22 flat landmark tiles 20 round markers (mines, medals, ETC) 16 flat obstacles 28 Special Unit badges 4 Historical Scenarios / Battles 2 Instruction Manuals / Rule Books in English and French DISCLAIMER: You will need the board game MEMOIR '44 in order to use this expansion. This expansion does not come with 3D painted miniatures, nor the plastic 3D figures you may or may not see in the pictures. Almost all of the contents here are FLAT TILES and TOKENS. I have painted each and every single one of these plastic miniatures (NOT INCLUDED IN THIS EXPANSION) as you can see in the pictures shown in this review. This TERRAIN PACK expansion does not include the SPECIAL OPERATIONS COMBAT CARDS that might be seen in the photographs, you may purchase those expansions separately. Enjoy and GOOD LUCK TO ALL! PS. As a history teacher and military buff I thouroughly enjoy this game. This is not a stand alone game but a great expansion to the original Memoir 44. This should be one othe first two expansions you should get along with the eastern front pack. My only reservation is that you need to buy more and more expansions to play each battle which can get expensive.

This offers additional depth to an already outstanding and ever changing board game.

At first glance the Terrain Pack may not look like much: just some more tiles and markers. But the roads, mountains, additional towns and rivers (never mind the unique structures like dams, churches, fords, etc) enable one to set up hundreds of additional scenarios to be found on the Memoir '44 webpage. They also enable the creation of a limitless amount of original scenarios. A must get for anyone looking to dig deeper into the history of the war and the different situations that are possible.

Only four scenarios. I had expected more. By going on-line you can get more scenarios that use these additions. Even then this expansion has options that are seldom, if ever, used. I am much more happy with the Russian expansion pack. In retrospective, I should have purchased the Pacific or Desert expansions instead. However, several expansions do mention that the Terrain Pack is needed to play all the scenarios. I guess if I buy more, I will appreciate this pack more. We will see.

We got this for our son who was turning 10 and he loves it. I found it helpful to watch a you tube video to help with the instructions, but it was super easy to pick up. Very fun!

The Terrain Pack contains a great selection of terrain pieces as well as markers that enable the player to expand the gaming experience into new scenarios. Recommend the terrain pack as the next purchase after the basic game.

An indispensable expansion /add on for memoir 44 -certainly if you plan to buy the mission books or additional map boards then the provided terrain covers everything an more - adding to desert terrain selections from other expansions as well as a host of new features such as castles and light houses - roads and much much more. The box has several stacks of double sided tiles all with as good a finish as the core memoir 44 game. There's also details on new terrain rules and what core terrain rules apply to alternate designs - some later scenarios will specify terrain from this set and its in game effects.
