Star Wars Workbook: 3rd Grade Reading and Writing (Star Wars Workbooks)

My son is nearing the end of 2nd grade and is outgrowing the 2nd grade book so I just ordered this one to start now and work through over the upcoming summer. During summer we have him earn TV/video game time by doing things like this. I recommend them as good prep the summer before the grade level listed, and/or as additional at-home practice to reinforce concepts during the year for a child who is behind grade level. These are not complex enough to be a curriculum, but are a great supplement.Instructions are simple and easy to follow. They make an effort to change up art and format to keep things interesting. My husband is a huge Star Wars fan so one thing that keeps my son motivated is to "pop quiz" Dad each time he finishes a page by having him try to name the character, ship, droid, creature, etc. from the artwork.

We got this to go over this past online learning year over Spring Break.I’d say first half is pure grammar questions then it’s a mix of comprehension and writing.Which was perfect for our son.It’s goes really deep into the Star Wars story so better to buy if your kiddo has seen the movies.It’s a nice change, we liked it.

These Star Wars work books are a ton of fun for my 9 year old home schooled son. They are very basic however and not to be used as a solo workbook. They are supportive but so basic they need to be used as a accompaniment to other curriculum books. That is perfectly fine, and they are so fun that my son loves to do them in addition to the regular work we do in a day. They are very good practice with fun illustrations and star wars themes. They are a fair price and I would recommend for home school or regular school practice or homework.

We love these! 100% recommend! Just buy it. My 8 year old twins and my 6 year old love these. We were struggling with homeschooling and these have been a fun supplement for some of the other curriculum! They love learning and this keeps it interesting! Everything is correlated to Star Wars characters and things! Super fun!

I have the 4th grader version of these but switched grade levels. These are a fun supplement to what I teach in class. I like the prompts and pictures and the students get a kick out of something that goes with our classroom Star Wars theme. The skills are consistent with the Common Core Standards covered by many school reading curriculum programs so this works great to add variety but still hit the objectives for a reading skill.

My 8-yr old loves these for the engagement and change of pace from her school math. The books also push her to keep going. The content could be more challenging, but there is a confidence boost for a 2nd grader to be in the 4th grade book (even if the book isn’t really 4th grade level).

We've been using this workbook series with my son every summer since pre-school. We work ahead to prepare him for the next year, and they've been a big hit with him.Expect fun exercises with Star Wars themes based on common core curriculum (not a fan of common core, but even non common core states typically align with curriculum). DO NOT expect in depth instruction. You get a sentence or two describing the exercise and an example. Some adult guidance may be required.

My son isn't a Huge Star Wars nerd, so some of the jargon and characters in this series (we got a couple books) went over his head as only a most-dedicated fan would know. I liked it enough for the price and mixed up his reading choices a bit, to keep interest, but he said he would like it better if it was more well-known plots or characters
