Make a plan for the flakes
The countertops of this rental property were previously painted black and over the years the tenant had chipped them here and there and filled the spots in with a Sharpie, so they needed some attention. I thought this looked like it would camouflage the chips, as well as the uneven previous paint job, and I was right. It was relatively simple to do, though tape really well around the sink. Even with stainless, it was a chore to remove the paint that did make it on there. I would also recommend removing the faucet if you can, because getting around that in that tiny space behind it was difficult. The most difficult part was getting the flakes onto the vertical surfaces such as that front edges and backsplash. I found a thin piece of cardboard from a package of curtains and ended up sprinkling the flakes onto that and them flicking the cardboard from underneath so they just kind of popped on there. Some places I just blew them off gently. I wasn't concerned with waste because I think there were plenty of flakes. I think it really came out nice and was pleased with the end result.

Great Product
So I got the color Sage and it was a bit more blueish, rather than the Olive green color shown online and on the brochure. Beautiful look though, very easy and also messy with the paint flakes. Oh, also I’d suggest to buy paint flakes from somewhere else (or on amazon in lbs) because one bottle wasn’t enough for my 38sqft countertops. I had to buy three more bottles for $80…. anyway, it’s an awesome product and i highly suggest it. I had faux blonde wood linoleum countertops before and it’s a total 180 for less than $200!

Brushes are terrible...but if you get new ones from store, you'll be fine :)
I really like how this project is turning out. The paint seems to be doing great. I could be a little smoother, but there were minimal pieces of gunk in it. I got the bright white. The roller they sent with this was terrible....but after buying the same size roller at our local hardware store, it rolled on smooth. I ended up doing 3 coats of paint and I feel like it's going to look great! It dried quick so I was able to apply a couple of coats in a day. I think the flakes look terrible...so I didn't even use them. I would NOT buy this KIT again, as I am not a fan of the quality of brushes...but I AM going to buy more of this paint for the rest of the kitchen. It's a fun little project that is really making a powerful impact on freshening up the kitchen! I am going to sand the next counter to see if that makes application a little smoother. All in all...I would recommend this.

Nice Face-lift
I love the ease of the product. I have used and brand in the past. Make sure you order the kit and get one more small brush.

Disappointed in Functionality
The media could not be loaded. Easy to useFast application of every coat and short dry times.Mediocre brush & roller included, repeatedly had to pick out roller chunks while applying.Looks beautiful BUT for a product intended for use around sinks, it's unfortunate that when water cuts on it for a few minutes- it changes the color until t fully dries. So the solution is to be sure and wipe dry each and every drip or sitting water after every use. Disappointing. One kit covered my 8 foot long double sink countertop with enough left over to probably do 1 more single sink countertop.

So far not Good!
After applying the first coat on my counter top I realized they did not send me any flakes. Hopefully Lowe’s will have some. The roller they provide does not glide easily and I had a hard time actually getting it to roll. It more like just pushed the paint on. I will change rollers and roller handle for 2nd coat and see how it does. So far my experience has not been great. Very frustrating. I will update this review when completely done.
