Barely adequate and don't let the prime shipping fool you
These are a flimsy plastic that I am guessing won't hold up well over time but we will see.The biggest problem with these is that the lid is extremely difficult to remove when sealed tightly. There is no tab to grab on to. If you are strong (I am a big burly guy) it is still pretty difficult to get the top off with noting really to grab on to. The edge of the lid and the edge of the container line up evenly. I tend to leave the lid loosely seated so that there's a small gap to grab onto with your fingers.I was tempted to return but this is pretty much the only game in town for egg containers of this size. But I wouldn't buy again. Also, these took nearly a month to receive despite being listed as prime 2 day shipping. So make sure you read the fine print.

Nice egg holder but lid doesn't stay on
I ordered this and forgot about it until it arrived... because it took pretty long to arrive. I eagerly put my eggs in it and put the lid on to put it in the refrigerator. I grabbed the case with my fingers underneath and my thumb on the lid and the lid popped right off and I almost dropped the case onto the floor. I set it back down on the counter and tried to put the lid on again but it just won't stay on. I store my eggs under the cold cut bin so I removed the lid and set it aside because I won't be stacking anything on top of the eggs. Other than that flaw. The case is nice. I read another review that said that the lid is hard to get off. Maybe we should switch lids!!

Would be a great product if it didn't arrive broken
I have one container that's great, the other, arrived broken from poor shipping and the seller doesn't want to refund or replace the broken container. The product itself is nice, durable and the lids are okay. However, there is nothing to really grab in order to open the lid and I've broken a nail twice trying to open since there is no lip on the lids, which is a design flaw.

Other than the lid these are fantastic. I have 16 chickens so i get over ...
This would be a 5 but the lids are hard to get off, there is no tab that I can find that sticks out enough to grab so if you don't have fingernails you can't get under the edge of the lid. Other than the lid these are fantastic. I have 16 chickens so i get over a dozen eggs a day. Having that many traditional cartons in the refrigerator took up all my space. I bought 3 of these and they sack on on shelf and store all my eggs in a much smaller area. They are well made and hold my extra large eggs.

sturdy enough for eggs, not for a 600lb gorilla
The plastic is rather thin, but if you don't go hulk style on it, you should be fine. 34 eggs is an odd amount since you can only fit 2.8 or so dozen eggs, what am I to do with the extra 2 eggs? Oh no, my skin is turning green & my shirt is getting ripped. Why must this egg container make me so mad and want to hulk smash every thing?

Better than recycling- reusing!
My daughter and a good friend both keep chickens and often find themselves overloaded with eggs. Instead of accepting them in on of their precious paper cartons (they never have enough), I use this plastic carton to pick up and store their over abundance. Very sturdy for transport and I’m all about the washable and reusable!

No more cardboard or Styrofoam egg cartons
Love love this item. I purchase fresh eggs from a farm and it is very easy to tranfer them into this plastic container then return the cardboard to the farmer. The only drawback is that the container holds 34, not 36 eggs. I always have 2 loose eggs when I purchase my 3 dozen

Good egg storage
Great idea! We have several chickens so we have lots of eggs! Love this to store them and keep them rotated. Easy to see how many we have, etc. My only suggestion would be for some vent holes in the lid to let moisture out/air circulate. Would happily recommend to a friend, and am considering purchasing a second :)
