Perfect Murdle Fun, Perfectly Sized for Young Detectives!
My 11-year-old son is a huge fan of the original Murdle puzzle books, enjoying both the challenge and the humor. When I saw Murdle Jr., I knew we had to give it a try, and I'm so glad we did! This book hits the sweet spot perfectly for its target audience. He dove right into "Curious Crimes for Curious Minds" and was instantly hooked. The puzzles retain the clever deductive reasoning core of the original Murdle, but are definitely geared appropriately for younger solvers. He found the difficulty level to be "just right" – challenging enough to make him think, but not so hard that he got frustrated. He loves the whole Murdle concept, and this junior version delivered that same fun experience. He was so engaged that he worked his way through the entire book in just a couple of days! For us, that's always a sign of a great puzzle book. It held his attention, provided a satisfying sense of accomplishment with each solved case, and kept him entertained screen-free.If you have a child around 10-12 years old who enjoys logic puzzles, mysteries, or is perhaps curious about the main Murdle books but finds them a bit daunting, Murdle Jr. is an absolutely fantastic introduction. It captures the spirit of the original while being perfectly accessible. Highly recommended!

Great for beginning mystery readers and beginning detectives
Both of my grandchildren (ages 9 and 12) enjoyed this book. My grandson (12) finished it in about 2 hours and recommended it to several friends and to his sister (9), who enjoyed her own copy. It is great for a day indoors with inclement weather or for one-a-day solvers.I marked the age in the review for my grandson (12) as easy (still enjoyable). For my granddaughter (9) I would say moderate.

8 year old approved!
Direct quote "A-plus, 15 thousand-million stars!"I got this book as gift for my daughter. Even though she had tons of other Christmas gifts, a new bike to ride, and family parties to attend, she was so enthralled that she grabbed the book in every free second and finished it by New Year's Eve. The book features 4 character chapters that follow the same format of increasing difficulty so we did the first one together but she was able to do the rest on her own. We also liked getting other family members involved with reading the dramatic parts out loud. Fun times. We'll be looking for more.

Mystery lovin kids
Just like the Murdle you love but no scary dreams for the kids.My 10 yo daughter gor this for Christmas and couldn't put it down! She finished it 2 days later. She even scanned the detective badge in the back of the book and laminated it. She cant wait for the next one!!!This Murdle Jr. Is written in a story form. So kids get their reading in. Each mystery gives a few clues to check off in the chart. Kids must use their logic and deduction to finish filling out the chart to find out who done it!I highly recommend this!

Interactive fun
This has been SUCH a fun activity for my 8 year old daughter and I to do at bedtime. It’s fun, but I can also tell it’s helping her reading comprehension and expanding her logical thinking. I can’t wait to get next volumes

Awesome Logic Puzzle Upper Elementary Age resource
Love Love Love! My 5th grade students are obsessed! I like having characters that connect the logic puzzles versus a random “story” with each new puzzle I would previously find.
